For me, Father's Day is a chance to reflect on how much my own dad means to me. He's always been there with support, advice, encouragement and a helping hand whenever it's needed. I know many of you will feel the same about the dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures in your lives. Sometimes the smallest gesture can mean the most.

We’ve become aware of a rumour going around that the Post Office at Brora Village Store CIC is closing.

We would like to reassure everyone that this is absolutely not the case.

We are not closing. We’re continuing to invest in the store, with new shelving arriving soon to expand our range and a printing service launching shortly.

The Post Office remains open and we are committed to providing this vital service to our community. Rumours that we are closing can discourage people from using the Post Office, which directly affects both the service and the store.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please pop in and ask us directly.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support both the Post Office and the shop. Your support helps keep these important local services available for our community. ❤️

After a long wait, we are delighted to finally share that Brora Bairns now has our Lead in place and we are aiming to officially launch the club after the summer holidays! 🎉

This is something we know many local families have been waiting for, and we are excited to finally start bringing this project to life for the children in our community.

At the moment, with one Lead, we can safely accommodate up to 8 children per session. In order to increase numbers and offer places to more children, we urgently need additional volunteers and assistants to join us.

You do not need to commit to every session — any help, experience or support would be hugely appreciated. This is a fantastic opportunity to help create a fun, safe and welcoming space for local children after school.

We are also looking for additional members to join our Board and help support the future development of Brora Bairns CIC.

✅ Online Booking System
We will shortly be sharing our online booking system with parents to allow places to be booked in advance. If anyone is unable to book online but would still like to secure a place, please just get in touch and we will be happy to help.

💷 Session Contribution
To help towards the ongoing running costs of the club, we will be asking for a small contribution of £1 per child per session. This will help towards activity materials, snacks, hall costs, insurance, equipment and general running expenses, helping us keep the club affordable and sustainable for the community.

🖨️ SOMETHING NEW IS COMING SOON TO BRORA VILLAGE STORE CIC! 🖨️

We are excited to announce that we will soon be launching a new local printing service right here in the shop! 🎉

Our new service will offer:
✅ Printing up to A3
✅ Posters
✅ Leaflets & Flyers
✅ Documents
✅ Stapling
✅ Folding

Perfect for local businesses, community groups, events, clubs, organisations and everyday printing needs 📄

We are also delighted to be working with Highland Copiers, who will be supplying the equipment and providing ongoing maintenance and support for the service.

We hope this new addition will provide a convenient and affordable local option for the community, helping save trips further afield for printing services.

Sorry the Post Office is closed till further notice - just awaiting some maintenance

Update (Friday)- we are still waiting, and will let everyone know as soon as it’s up and running! The shop is still open!

The young boys have been working hard on this and are excited for this to go ahead.

All payers must be 14 and above, both female and male welcome. Mixed teams are also allowed!
