Meet Murray in his 2.4m — a sailor whose passion for the water is nothing short of extraordinary.
As the founder of Autism on the Water, Murray has spent the past 10 years opening up the world of sailing to others. But when it comes to his own journey in para sailing, this is where his personal ambition truly comes to life.
Already a trailblazer, Murray made history as the first Intellectual Impairment World Sailing Champion, taking gold at the World Sailing Inclusion Championships in Oman in October last year. And he’s not stopping there. He’s driven, focused, and determined to keep improving — competing at more events, pushing boundaries, and proudly flying the flag for sailors with disabilities on the world stage.
To take that next step, Murray is now looking for support.
With the right backing, he can compete more widely across the UK and internationally, continuing his rise and building towards an exciting long-term goal: the 2032 Paralympic Games in Brisbane, where sailing is hoped to make a return.
This is more than just a sponsorship opportunity — it’s a chance to be part of an inspiring journey, to support inclusion in sport, and to help a proven champion reach even greater heights.

We’re getting very excited for our trip to Oban on 29th November! You’ll find us at the Corran Halls as part of the Oban Winter Festival market, and we can’t wait to see you there.

We’ll have a whole range of Christmas goodies on offer — from £1 to £70 — so there’s truly something for everyone. And yes… after completely selling out last year, our famous “Pigs in Blankets” are back! (Because let’s be honest… pigs definitely aren’t just for Christmas!)

A wee update on - I now have a bigger HQ! Part of our house renovations allowed FPHQ to be relocated within the house and space to spread out (& have room for more crafty stuff!!) is much improved! This years “Pigs in Blankets “ are well underway and they will be available from early December. Loving being back in China for a chunk of time and starting to make the apartment a little more like a mini Buckie!!

We’re back in one of our favourite spots this weekend which is the magnificent Crinan Canal. With thanks to funding from Nadara A'Chruach Wind Farm Community Fund, administered by Foundation Scotland - we are hosting our canal event for 10 local autistic children from the area nearby but this time we’re doing it differently!

Usually a transit through the canal involves our yachts going through either to Ardrishaig or Crinan but this time our guests will get to experience the magic of not just the canal but also out on Loch Crinan and that is thanks to the generosity of Ross Ryan of crinan_classic_charters who is graciously providing AOTW the use of his beautiful yacht “Scarbh” which will take the young people partway through the canal and out onto Loch Crinan.

In addition, Jilly Wilson from The Square Peg is once again donating lunches for all participants, Polly's Coffee Stop has provided some delicious home baking and The Foggy Pear Craft Company has once again made each participant a certificate. All those contributions is what makes these events so special and we’re so grateful to all of them!
