My garden says I'm productive. My house has declined to comment. 😂🌿

A little video tour and explanation of my seedlings which are doing well. I am so excited to see a little orlaya seedling coming up as they can take time to grow and they like fluctuating temperatures, so the seeds went in the freezer first.

I am still waiting for my larkspur to germinate which are currently in the dark in another area after the seeds also had a couple of weeks in the freezer. I am just hoping the mice don’t eat my precious babies!

I have 2 bungee cords inside, and two on the outside of my zippy greenhouses. Hopefully this will be enough to keep my baby seedlings safe in this weather!

I have David Austin’s Desdemona and Emma Bridgewater bare root plants pre ordered for the cutting garden. I have about 30 different roses and these are two of my favourites. I have also ordered a new one for me, Eustacia Vye, a glowing apricot-pink, with delicately ruffled petals.

I love David Austin's cute animated ad.

Today’s job is sowing anemones - ‘Languedoc Mix’ from Farmer Gracy.

I am soaking the tubers for 3 hours and then planting into pots to go in the greenhouse. This should give me early flowers together with my ranunculus, with each tuber producing multiple ‘cut and come again’ flowers.

I have started to pre sprout my ranunculus. The corms were soaked for 3-4 hours (no longer) otherwise they can rot, they are now covered with soil and inthe greenhouse. When they are big enough, I will plant them out with some horticultural fleece protection.

Don’t they look like something out of Harry Potter?! They are actually in the buttercup family of plants.

I am growing Amandine Wedding Pastel, Amandine Pastel Pink and Amandine Porcelaine - beautiful pastel shades - all from Farmer Gracy.

Dahlia Cafe au Lait is still flowering. It is probably the most famous of the dinner plate dahlia family with very large, double blooms and a palette of creamy soft blush, pale peach and ivory tones so it is often selected as a bridal flower.

Phew, I have finished landscaping the cutting garden, planted the bulbs and woodland area - also sown with woodland seeds - and sown the wildflower seed on the pond bank. The pond fleece and liner will arrive a week Weds. Here is a video if you want a tour.

Tick ✓ Another job done. I have sown the wildflower bank that I made to edge the wildlife pond. I used a Wildflower Mix for clay soil (previously used to create my wildlife meadow) and mixed in some bee and butterfly mix plus some wild bird wildflower mix. They are all from Landlife Wildlife Flowers who have some wonderful wildflower mixes.

I have also just sown their Woodland and Heavy Shade seed in my new micro woodland area, and once the pond is lined and planted I have their Wetland and Pond Edge Wildflower Seeds to sow in between the planted marginal plants.

It is best to mix wildflower seeds with some sand for easier distribution.
