Another week, another ‘final’ basket of dahlia! The field is teasing me, on first glance it’s gorgeous and colourful but looking closer shows mildew, weather damage and bugs 🐜 if only it would get cold!!!

Beautiful dried flower bouquets available tomorrow 9-2

21/10/2026

Final dried flower sale on Friday and Saturday this week. Everything must go as it won’t store in my barn over winter.

The small group wreath workshops are selling fast so we’ve added 2 large group workshops in the big Mill Barn again. Keeping the groups slightly smaller than last year but the bar will be open, we’ll play the Christmas music loud and all feel very festive 🙌🏼 places left in the Saturday evening and the Sunday morning

Some of the glorious art and crafts that have come through the workshop this year. If you would like to host a workshop at the flower farm in 2027 then get in touch. If you like to attend a workshop then watch this space, I’ll release a calendar of events in early January 🙌🏼

I’ve had a mini swarm of bees in the poly tunnel! The ‘Bee Man’ tried to get them out but we think they are just lost and disoriented, maybe part of a bigger swarm. So I’ve been armed with my children’s old, pink fishing net and I’ve removed some one by one 🐝 I think lots will perish but I’m doing my best.

Ranunculus corms look truly alien, but they grow into the most glorious blooms. I have small amount of excess corms that will be available to buy this Friday and Saturday from the farm, I’ll even share some growing tips if you need them ssshhh

It’s definitely Autumn when the morning dew looks fabulous clinging to the grasses. My favourite time of year to work outside! Loads of jobs to do, temperatures start to cool and I start thinking about hibernating 🤣🤣

Due to a cancellation, there are still some places on this Saturday’s dried flower workshop. Get in touch if you fancy a morning of cake, coffee, floral chatter and then leaving with an arrangement that will last for years.
