Saturday 5th September 🎊 Get it in the diary!

Yes that's right, you heard me correct, Freya Jones is 10! It's a major milestone and we've survived 3 premises, 2 major floods and 1 global pandemic!

When i look at that little Freya On her 7th Birthday I wish I could tell her that the resilience she has shown in the face of illness, trauma and grief is commendable. She single handedly and at times single foot-edly built something really lovely. Well done kiddo!

10 years is a long old time, I remember on our first birthday party my mum saying "i wonder where you'll be in 10 years time? You'll probably have a High Street shop then!" And we laughed because whilst she genuinely thought that, it was a completely insane goal for 1 person to run that kind of venture. Well Mum was on the nose and it's a pleasure to say that on this one solitary occasion you were right.

Of course I couldn't BE Freya Jones without my amazing Mum, Dad and Husband helping keep me just about sane. And I couldn't keep the place going if it wasn't for all my amazing customers who fill my days with joy. Thankyou Everyone.

This year in Buckingham has coincided with the single worst year in retail in my living memory 🙃 but somehow it has been the best of my life. I owe this to the people of Buckingham, the community spirit of the residents, the never ending support of Discover Buckingham and Buckingham Town Council and the best ever business friends in Throw Back Vintage CLOTHES | HOMEWARE | GIFTING I have never met such amazing and kind, wonderful people as ClareTebboth Ashley Jones who support me inside the shop in so many ways. Deepest gratitude to you all.

Well that was a trip!

We're back from possibly the best holiday of all time! Amazingly went to Spain to miss the UK heatwave, Bizarre. Had the most wonderful time with Ambassador Cruises as always, thoroughly recommend especially for anyone with dietary requirements or physical disabilities, a cruise is the perfect holiday for those of us with chronic conditions as you can rest so much without missing out.

On this cruise to Northern Spain we saw our first dolphins, listened to brilliant lectures, saw my first shooting star courtesy of the Perseid Meteor shower and most importantly broke through the clouds to see the Total solar eclipse! An absolutely breathtaking and incredible experience. We raced away from the coast at full speed for 2 and a half hours to get to the edge of the clouds and witness this once in a lifetime event with literally minutes on the clock! 10 minutes later and we'd have missed it. To see the corona and the red plasma shooting out the sides was absolutely mind bending and I'll get shivers forever remembering it.

Now back to the grindstone of a FABULOUS new show! My glamorous life really does take it's toll, but someone has to do it 🤣

Thankyou again for making the BEST gluten free meals for Mr Freya and having the best mattresses and non alcoholic cocktails for me! We love seeing so many of the same staff so often and love that they are always so happy.

It truly was the best day, in the best holiday ever. Much needed and now I'm full of beans again!
