We fitted this beautiful Warm Oak herringbone throughout the bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and ensuite, creating a seamless and stylish finish. 🀎

This one was far from a straightforward floor, but with the right preparation and attention to detail, we brought it back to a perfect finish.

The job started with a substantial deep area that required excavation and repair before we could even begin preparing for the finished floor. We then built the levels back up, installed plywood to the timber areas, followed by a DPM system and 3 separate coats of self-levelling compound to achieve the required height, strength and smoothness across the entire area.

Once the subfloor was fully prepared, we installed a stunning herringbone LVT, carefully set out and finished around the kitchen, doorways and perimeter to create a clean, continuous finish.

From a damaged and uneven subfloor ➑️ through extensive preparation ➑️ to a beautiful, durable herringbone floor. πŸ’ͺ🏼

This is why preparation is everything. The finished floor is only ever as good as what’s underneath it. πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Another one underway, and this floor definitely needed some serious preparation before we can get anywhere near the finished floor! πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ› οΈ

We started with 4 large channels ranging from 20–30mm deep πŸ•³οΈπŸ“, which were filled using rapid repair mortar to bring everything back up and provide a solid, stable base. πŸ’ͺ🏼

The new extension was then DPM’d πŸ’§πŸ–€, ready for the next stages of preparation. The following day we attacked the lower areas with a 30mm build-up of self-levelling compound and Granite πŸͺ£βš’️, bringing the levels up significantly.

We then moved onto the existing floorboards, installing 6mm plywood πŸͺ΅πŸ”© before applying a further 10mm build-up coat of screed, bringing the floor level up to the plywood. πŸ“πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

The whole floor is now being prepared ready for the final 5mm coat all over πŸͺ£βœ¨, giving us the perfect, smooth substrate required for the finished flooring. πŸ”₯

This one is still VERY MUCH A WORK IN PROGRESS πŸ‘€πŸš§β€¦

This one was a full floor preparation and installation project, finished using Traditional Oak from the Textures Range β€” one of our most popular ranges at the moment! 🀎

πŸ”Ή Repaired two substantial areas with holes approximately 200mm deep
πŸ”Ή Thoroughly primed the existing floor ready for preparation
πŸ”Ή Applied the first coat of self-levelling compound at a 15mm build-up
πŸ”Ή Installed a damp proof course (DPM) to provide the required moisture protection
πŸ”Ή Applied a further 6mm of self-levelling compound, creating a smooth, flat and stable surface ready for the final floor covering
