Had a fabulous day in St Ives, met so many wonderful people and literally didn’t stop chatting all day! Was surrounded by such talented potters (who were all delightfully lovely), felt a bit of an inferiority complex setting in but in the end didn’t care as had so much fun!

Big sigh to have gotten to Sunday. The weeks are so busy (and fast) at the moment, anyone else feel like they are in a vortex? Mine just has pots in all different stages flying around, student pots everywhere, glimpses of my own work too.

These are some new Matcha tea bowls (or great for hot choc too!). Wrap your hands around and feel wholesome again. Allowing you to take small moments of calm to yourselves, small wins!

I’ve finally added some bits to the website. It’s been a long time coming, I’ve been flat out with lessons since Christmas happened and only just come up for air!

I usually trim pieces as smooth as can be but had great fun this week faceting these little bottle lids. I’m starting to get a little looser with my throwing of late too, keeping throwing lines in and enjoying the natural movement in the clay.

I hope everyone’s getting through January okay. I have been quietly manifesting all of my aspirations for the year ahead whilst trying to harness my energy and focus. January is a great time to see what’s working and not working in the business and a chance to breathe.

December is usually my panic month that results in over-exertion and burn out, not pretty and I never learn!

Here’s to the ‘clean slate’ of a new year that affords us time, patience and nourishment. Go slow, be kind to yourself and don’t sweat the small stuff.
