Peg has once again been trying out the chairs at Earsham Hall Antiques and has decided that this rather fabulous French hooded porter’s chair is her favourite

Historically found in the entrance halls of grand houses, porter’s chairs were designed with their distinctive tall, enclosed backs to give hall porters and doormen protection from cold draughts

With its carved painted frame and mix of faded paisley and tapestry fabrics, this is a wonderful statement piece that looks great from every angle

We’re open every day from 10am-4pm, you’ll find us in the courtyard Earsham Hall just outside Bungay on the Norfolk / Suffolk border, there are twenty dealers across our two creaky old floors so there’s always lots to see earshamhall_tearooms and Earsham Hall Shop are here too

Kitchenalia, militaria and mid-century pottery are just a few of the things you’ll find on the shelves here Earsham Hall Antiques

There are twenty dealers spread across our two creaky old floors so there’s always lots to see whether you’re looking for something to pop on a shelf or a statement piece to anchor a room

You’ll find us Earsham Hall just outside Bungay on the Norfolk / Suffolk border

We’re open every day from 10am–4pm and this morning it’s the monthly Courtyard Foodie Market too so come along for some antiquing and foodie fun

A little local interest …

A fantastic collection of wooden architectural letters once forming part of Norwich Union Insurance signage and now making a striking decorative wall display on the pitch of East England Interiors here at Earsham Hall Antiques

Alongside is a large early 20th-century hand-painted photographer’s trade sign, sourced in Southwold with weathered paint and hand-lettering c1905–1920 which measures 237cm × 58cm

Talking local it’s the monthly Courtyard Foodie Market here Earsham Hall on Saturday morning too

We hope to see you - the market runs from 10am-1pm, with Earsham Hall Antiques Earsham Hall Shop and earshamhall_tearooms open until 4pm

Treasures are being sorted, vans are being loaded and we’re nearly ready for our Antiques Flea Market here at Earsham Hall this Bank Holiday Monday …

There’ll be around 50 stalls with a mix of antiques dealers having a clear out, alongside downsizers and collectors with interesting old things looking to sell

Expect a glorious jumble of antiques, brocante and vintage finds - art, textiles, rugs, decorative antiques, kitchenalia, china, furniture, garden bits, curiosities and, of course, the odd bit of tat that’s simply too good to give away

We’ll be open from 9am until around 3pm, with free entry and plenty of parking. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome too.

You’ll find us just outside Bungay on the Norfolk / Suffolk border, less than 30 minutes from Norwich and about the same to the coast

Come early, bring cash and have a good rummage because the best thing about a flea market is that you really never know what you might find

We’re home to twenty dealers spread across two creaky old floors so if you’re out antiquing this Bank Holiday weekend, do come and pay us a visit

There’s lots going on locally this weekend with antique fair in Southwold, also in Southwold on Sunday is antique and vintage fair and then on Bank Holiday Monday it’s the return of the Bank Holiday Flea here at Earsham Hall where we’ll have 50 stalls spread across the grounds - a wonderful mix of dealers having a clear out alongside downsizers with treasures to sell, we hope to see you

Antique pine, an old prep table, faded paint layered with country pottery and French brocante - just a glimpse of what you’ll find across our two floors here at Earsham Hall Antiques

If this is your look and have raided their storage barn and will be having a bit of a clear-out at our Bank Holiday Flea this Monday - you’ll find them under the tree at the front of the house

Around 50 stalls will be dotted across the grounds, bringing together antique dealers having a clear out, downsizers and collectors with treasures to sell - expect furniture, rugs, textiles, art, decorative antiques, vintage pieces and the odd bit of tat that’s simply too good to give away

Gates open for the flea from 9am until around 3pm, with free entry and plenty of parking
