A wonderful example of traditional Tibetan furniture and decorative art, available from Beezer Trading here at Earsham Hall Antiques

This hand-painted pine cabinet has two compartments and six richly coloured panels depicting figures, elephants, an ox rider and a conch blower, all set amongst mountainous landscapes

With a carved key-pattern frieze, pin-hinged doors and a red lacquered top with green edging, this is a striking example of traditional Tibetan craftsmanship, probably dating from the late 19th / early 20th century

Sitting upstairs at Earsham Hall Antiques is this striking Spanish Colonial chair

The style dates back to the 16th century, when Spanish furniture-making traditions were brought to the Americas and gradually took on their own regional character, influenced by local materials and craftsmanship

This is a lovely example with its wonderfully worn polychrome finish, decorative carving and traditional woven seat, probably late 19thC

It’s the last day of the Lomax Fairs Langley School today - worth a visit if you’re a collector and haven’t been, then maybe pop to see us too, we’re only 15 minutes away

A collection of mid-century design from unit12interiors upstairs at Earsham Hall Antiques

The 1960s Kyoto armchair by Guy Rogers, brings classic British mid-century styling and sits alongside a 1950s nest of three brass faux bamboo tables with glass tops

In front there’s a 1950s teak Lotus coffee table, with its gently scalloped top carved from a single piece of wood

On the other side of the room, a low gallery viewing bench is the perfect spot to admire the collection of 20th-century art and sculpture

Our entrance display this week is from Kristina The Back Bedroom

It brings together a 17thC Armada chest, an 18thC provincial oak chest of drawers, and a 19thC French terracotta bust, with an old musket tucked in as a nod to her husband’s military interests

The Armada chest is particularly interesting, although the name is slightly misleading. It was the Victorians who started calling them Armada chests, believing they were used to transport Spanish gold. In fact, most were made in Germany, particularly Nuremberg, and used as strongboxes for keeping money and valuables secure

Handcrafted from wrought iron and exceptionally heavy each one is unique, this one has lost its original locking mechanism but it has lovely painted decoration and would make a great coffee table
