Very sad to see the end of an era at Mabel's Emporium, it was lovely to have been a stall holder for a while. I will be continuing with occasional makes for family & friends, & a craft fair here & there.

Here are some of this year’s seasonal crafts; no plastic or metal, just natural weaving, compostable main components & recycled ribbons & threads 🧵🍊🌿

Introducing.... Sea Bricks! Sea bricks are pieces of traditional clay bricks which have been sculpted by the sea and the weather. All the ones now on the stall at Mabel's Emporium are from Somerset beaches. They are an ‘ultimate’ form of recycling; a natural raw material that has been formed by humans into a building material, then reshaped once again by nature and finally reused by us. They can be drilled and painted, and used for lots of different things. Air bricks make quirky utensil holders, desk and bathroom tidies, spoon and brush rests. They can also be used in aquariums. We love them and hope you do too 🧱🌊💖
