Morning all. We are back outside The Slipway Bar & Restaurant ready for this afternoons Knit and natter and Col will be open between 1 and 4. Opening plans for this week for the floating Lancashire Wool shop.
The Wool Boats plans for 19th to 25th October 2026
As the weather forecast is for a stormy weekend so we probably won’t be able to move “Emma Maye” we are having a short week.
We plan to back outside the Slipway for Thursday the 22nd of October afternoon for the Knit and Natter in the pub when everyone is all welcome to join the Slipway Stitchers in the pub, welcoming any stitchers, in which ever craft, to join them from 1 until about 4. For further info call Carole on 07919 598911.
The Wool Boat should be moored outside with Capt Col in charge open outside The Slipway on Crabtree Lane, (L40 0RN) open from 1-4.
You could always order through our website and Capt Col is able to deliver locally.
Halloween is coming, we have some pumpkin shades of yarn aboard 😊
We have ordered some more shades of the hand dyed Symfonie DK, which are now in our web shop and of course available from the Boat when we are open.
We are sorry to have to say this but from the 2nd of November we are going to have to raise some of yarn prices.

Lovely morning in Burscough where we are open from 1 to 4 this afternoon

Morning folks, at last we have been able to get a mooring near Burscough Wharf. It's a lovely sunny autumn day, so we'll get set up to be open from 1 to 4 this afternoon. Lots of Wool and yarns for your latest project, come and have a squidge. Carole Wareing has been working hard with the needles so a good range of knitted goods availble as well.
