I'm not really a scrapbooker and admit often 12 x 12 card fazes me. Add to that I don't like to fussy cut, so my latest make is something totally different for me.

I find it easier to start projects like this thinking I'm photo mounting rather than scrapbooking so I don't have any pressure to think of titles, journalling which generally sends my mind blank! This is a picture of my grandparents taken in 1940.

This page uses just 2 of the Petal Garden Memories and More cards and 1 sheet of the matching papers. My starting point was the Sweet Moment card which I cut to use as a frame as well as the title. The banners on either side were cut from the reverse side of the paper and the centre of the frame card. Overlaying the flowers allowed me to use the flowers that went off the page by hiding the straight edge. For those on the banners, I purposely used the straight edge - less fussy cutting for me!

The smaller Remember card is a pull out tab for hidden journalling as I'm planning on hanging in my hallway.

You get 72 double sided cards of 2 sizes plus 4 sheets of gold foil cut outs and 2 sheets of diecut stickers and 48 sheets in the matching 6x6 paper pack so it will go a long way - I still have scraps left from the little I used!

Thanks for visiting,
Ju xx

Whilst I am loving the gorgeous new products in the new Annual Catalogue, I'm starting to look ahead to Christmas with this gorgeous set that will be part of the forthcoming Holidays catalogue. One of the perks of being a demo is getting product before its general release but Stampin' Up! have gone one better, this gorgeous set can be yours for FREE if you become a demo in July. And there's more! Sign up in July and you'll also receive a fantastic tools bundle too.

Sign up or just £99 to get £130 of products of your choice, free postage and these amazingly generous free products worth £65! You can even choose the matching framelits set as part of your starter kit ahead of their release.

My first card is a shaker using the positive and negative tree images and a very cute deer. My second uses one of the large sentiments as a more traditional design. Such a versatile set!

One of the best things (there are many!!) about being a Stampin' Up! demo is getting your hands on new stamps, embellishments, tools and ribbons ahead of their launch. This is my first make with a gorgeous new set from the 2017 Occasions catalogue called High Tide.

It's a photopolymer set that enables you to build scenes really easily and also has a mix of positive messages.

The Occasions catalogue is available from 4th January 2017, contact me for your copy ... there's so much loveliness inside!

New meets old favourite!

Like a lot of paper crafters, I began by making cards but today my favourite things to make are decor pieces.

My Christmas tag decoration uses the poinsettia set from the Annual Catalogue coupled with beautiful Pretty Pines framelits from the new Autumn Winter catalogue. The touches of glitter paper really sparkle and the greeting uses the gorgeous copper embossing powder.

I saw a post from in a demo group of a fancy fold box and had to have a go at making one myself. Claudia's video can be found here https://www.facebook.com/www.claudiasecke.de/ It is in German, paper size is 21cm square, score at 4.5 on two opposite sides and at 4.5, 9, 13.5 and 18 on the other side.

My puppy has been keeping me busy recently, so I've not had much opportunity to craft just for me. I loved the Jar of Love set on first seeing the new catalogue, that it has matching framelits was a double winner! I got some time yesterday and made a set of notecards and a cute lidded box with this versatile set. I didnt get to make all of my ideas as the box only holds 4!

A recent make to celebrate a wedding. I love the sentiment and flower from the new hostess set called Best Thoughts.

The images were stamped in Soft Suede which is my new favourite as it gives a softer edge. The flower images were coloured with blender pens, I love these!

The inside was also stamped and coloured along with a panel for the envelope using co-ordinating DSP.

Yesterday I received my first order from the new catalogue. I admit, I did splurge, but only a little (ish) one!

After waiting, not so patiently to get home with my new goodies, I was like a kid at Christmas and couldn't decide which set to ink first. I finally settled an Floral Wings, one of the new hostess sets.

C&S to showcase the butterfly, with some subtle embellishing with gold thread and white accents. The base card uses the new thicker A4 Whisper White and is a great weight for card blanks.

The envelope was also decorated using the vine and single flower from the same set and fits perfectly on the flap.

It has the added benefit that the butterfly fits the new butterfly framelits which is a big thumbs up from me!
