Really great class today with three lovely ladies - Lou who had been wanting to learn for ages and Kath and Keely who treated each other for their recent birthdays. I love that - experience gifting is such a cool thing to do❤️Three gorgeous shades were created and taken home and everyone left feeling pleased and well proud of themselves⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thank you to Gordon Rigg Garden, Home & Leisure Todmorden for brews and yummy cakes from the farm shop. I hope you’ll have me back to deliver another class soon. ❤️

I really love making lampshades but have collected so much fabric over the last few years there’s no way I can make shades out of all of it I’d need a factory and a warehouse! So I’ve been working a lot lately on some new products and here’s one I’m really excited about❤️I’ve made a wreath which can change with the seasons by simply changing out the bow. This one is perfect for Autumn but there’s going to be lots to choose from. The wreath is ruffled neutral coloured fabric on a 33cm frame, the bows will be all sorts of fabrics and colours - like I said I’ve a lot to choose from!. I’ll be at Rammy Makers Market today and at lots of other markets over the next month or two and I’m excited to share the other bits and bobs I’ve been working on - my Lovely Little Extras range😊

I was born and raised in Stoke-on -Trent and in those days many of the jobs were in the pits and the potbanks. My dad was a coal miner, my mum and my granny both had worked in the pot banks. It was a real treat yesterday to visit the iconic Emma Bridgewater factory in Hanley on a site that has been standing and producing pottery since the late 1800’s. I’m so lucky to be able to still make sweet memories with my 96 year old mum Lucy (yes she’s Lucy! My lovely lampshades are named for her not me😊❤️) Emma Bridgewater your cafe, the factory and shop, all your treasures and all your team were absolutely gorgeous! ❤️what a lovely afternoon❤️

Very excited to share that I will be at the iconic Central Library in Manchester on 10th October for their first vintage and Vinyl Fair. I’ll be bringing shades made from true vintage fabrics, lots of mid-century fabric pieces, some clothing and homeware items. So if you’re a lover of vintage like me hope to see you there ❤️

This is what I know about commissions - whatever the customer wants the customer gets that’s the beauty of bespoke. So when our uni returning son asked for black shades for his new room well the brief was clear and non negotiable!(I did try I won’t lie 🤭) fortunately I had a remnant of black velvet in the cupboard (thanks to Holcombe Interiors ) and here they are 🖤🖤He’s happy and I’m happy he’s happy of course ❤️ oh and the lamp base is from a charity shop £3😊

Do you have a gorgeous lamp base that’s in need of a new shade?I can help! In fact I’d love to! It was a total pleasure making this 50cm shade for this stunning floor lamp just look at those curves!!! It’s a beaut😍And the shade is exactly what Clare and Paul wanted❤️and what’s lovely for me is that they first met me at a Christmas market last year and came back to me 8 months later to make their order.😊You don’t have to be limited by what’s in the shops you can have your very own bespoke shade in the size and shape and style you want - plain, patterned, neutral, dopamine decor, cottage core, retro, quiet luxury whatever it is I’ve got you 😉❤️

My first ever new to me sewing machine! 🙌I’m so excited but hoping it’s really easy because I’m technically limited I won’t lie🤦🏻‍♀️😂I did get advice on whether it would be a good match for my basic sewing skills but to be honest it was Klarna at Argos that sealed the deal (thank God for Klarna!) So in I go to try and work it out and hopefully there’ll be lots of gorgeousness to come from all my leftover fabric!🤞❤️
