One of the best things about doing leatherwork is the range of different objects you get asked to repair. Anything that is thick, hard or difficult to sew seems to be fair game. Today’s repair was putting a new bottom on an easygrazer muzzle. These are very nice, but costly, so replacing the bottom was definitely worth doing.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that Trigger’s broom (Ronnie’s headcollar) has been back in for repair. This time it needed a new throatlash, backstay and jowels (all of the back part). I don’t know if there is anything original left of this headcollar but it is much loved and I like that the owner would prefer to repair it than throw it away.
