This one was a test of patience and determination πŸ™ˆ

My lovely customer originally asked me to cast her late father's pipe, and I wasn't too happy with the one layer line so was contemplating my options.

Meanwhile, very sadly her mother also passed and she message to ask if I could cast her funeral flowers instead of the pipe if I'd not started ( pipe was going to be a gift for her mom)

So me being me, I suggested I cast both together for her. Which she agreed on

Anyway, I underestimated just how HARD it would be to remove the pipe (no idea why because I know how hard it is to cut resin once cast πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ)

With a LOT of sanding, cutting and help from hubby I got it down as much as possible and decided on a new design!

Sooo glad it worked out well but omg this has been a huge learning curve πŸ™ˆ

What do you all think of the final result?

Something a little different from the other week (completely forgot to post)

This one had it's challenges. Despite coating the test and bracelet beforehand to protect them I still unfortunately demoulded this to find one of the tests (dye) had run, plus the handwriting on the bracelet 😫 no idea how as the way I coat them beforehand normally prevents this from happening!

Anyway I sanded this back flush with the bracelet, added the handwriting, and also dremelled right into the test where it had run.

I added these little dummies to cover the marks from the dye as there was no way of completely removing it 😭. Then I built it all back up with resin, sanded it all over and gave it a shiny floodcoat to finish it off.

Resin can be VERY temperamental at times, and as an artist I've had to learn how to fix any disasters as best I can.
I will always put in 110% to ensure your items are as perfect as a handmade piece can be.

Hope you all like the finished piece anyway 😊

Look how gorgeous these colours are 😍

All ready to be sanded (to remove any petals sticking out) then to add a glossy topcoat.
