Bee’n a bit quiet here on the enamelling side of things as I’ve bee’n busy with family. When I got back I painted the chimney breast with Farrow and Ball no 30…Hague Blue, lovely dark blue we saw in a hotel in bath.
Decided to paint a picture for the wall to match but bee’cause I decided it’s too small for the chosen space it will probably # # for sale. Here’s a sneak preview, what’s not to love about a bee and flowers?

6 years ago today I finished my first large painting in canvas in acrylics. It was a huge undertaking for me but done with love and determination as it was of a photo of my daughter and the horses early morning. I got cross with myself, watched video’s on how to paint in acrylic, and getting her nose right took aaaaages- it wasn’t ‘her’ until it was right. I still think it’s my best achievement in my ‘arty life’
At school I was always reprimanded for drawing too small on a sheet of paper. It must have been my destiny to secure an apprenticeship in miniature enamel painting 46 years ago. I have had many miniature commissions from all across the world but this ‘proper painting’ was the most rewarding.

Update for the next few months: If anyone requires a jewellery pet portrait piece please message me. I am however focussing on my children’s book which is long overdue for finishing. I’ve struggled with self publishing complications but I’ve finally found a good book printing service and am aiming for a launch in May.
