Another transformation completed by Luxuria Decorating

What a difference a colour change can make.
This room was previously finished in two different shades of grey, so we gave it a complete refresh with a crisp white paired with Johnstone’s Night Watch Green for a bold, sophisticated finish.

There were also some really bad areas of peeling paint that needed attention. We scraped all the loose and failing paint back, properly prepared the affected areas and sealed them with Zinsser Gardz before redecorating.

The result? A smooth, clean finish that looks completely transformed.
Another job where the preparation makes all the difference, not just painting over the problem, but fixing it properly.

Give your exterior the protection it needs before winter!
With the colder, wetter months approaching, now is the time to get your exterior painting finished before winter has a chance to cause further damage.
A good exterior paint system does more than just make your home look fresh. Proper preparation and a quality exterior coating help protect timber and other painted surfaces from rain, moisture and the elements.
Over winter, constant exposure to rain, damp and temperature changes can cause unprotected or failing paintwork to deteriorate, allowing moisture to get into the surface. This can lead to peeling, flaking, cracking, swelling and eventually wood rot.
By getting the work done now, you can, seal and protect exposed surfaces
Reduce moisture getting into timber
Prevent existing deterioration from getting worse
Give your exterior a fresh protective coating before the harsh weather arrives
Potentially save money on more extensive repairs later

A splash of colour for this beautiful hallway

What a transformation on this staircase and landing
We’ve given this hallway a complete refresh, with bold, playful colours bringing so much character and personality into the space.

The soft yellow woodwork and staircase really makes the whole area pop, complemented perfectly by the pastel mint green, pink and lilac details.
From the spindles and handrails to the skirting, architraves and doors, there was plenty of detail to get right, but we think the finished result speaks for itself
A great example of how colour can completely transform a home and turn a once ordinary hallway into something really special.

This bedroom was certainly in need of some TLC after the old wallpaper was removed!

The walls were left looking pretty rough, so we brought them back to life with fresh plastering and plenty of preparation before giving the room a complete transformation.
Finished in a beautiful Duck Egg, the result is a fresh, clean and calming space that feels like a completely different room.
It just goes to show what a difference good preparation and the right colour can make
