Finlay was busy mucking out the horses, sleeves rolled up, sweat beading across his forehead. 💦🐴
He had a quota to meet, fifteen barrowfuls of manure to mulch Farmer Rees’ tulips in the fields! 🌷
Across the bustling farmyard, something caught his eye, it was a newcomer! 👀🚜
Sat atop a haystack, was a girl, engrossed in her writing, clearly intent and focused. 📝🌾📓
Finlay was instantly intrigued, his trotters were all a tingle! ✨
Who was this vision of loveliness? Why was she here? 🤔
In that moment, she glanced up and their eyes met for a brief second…
Finlay swallowed down his nervousness, and quickly got back to his shovelling!
Moments later, Finlay felt a light tap on the shoulder,
‘You look hard at work, do you fancy a cool drink of lemonade?! 🍋🧊🫗
Fleur handed Finlay the cool drink and a handkerchief, delicately embroidered with flowers. 🌸
Finlay took both from her, and ever so briefly, their trotters brushed. Electricity sparked. ⚡️🔌
In that fleeting moment, they both knew, this was going to be the start of something very special! 💗
