We had a fab two weeks with the family over from America, they sadly went back on the 16th July.

I was all geared to start back making orders but sadly on the 19th July my dad ended up in A&E and we spent 31 hrs there before going onto a ward.
He is still in hospital and it’s been a busy 10 days back and forth, hopefully he might come home by the weekend but it’s not guaranteed.

So I’m so sorry for letting you all down, the last few months really haven’t gone too plan.
But hopefully things will all settle down and I can get back to doing what I love as I have so much to come.

So again I’m sorry but I will be back and I will be doing some sales and possibly some preorders, I will update on all this at the weekend.

A selection of some bucket hats we’ve made the last couple of weeks 😊
If you do require a more fitted size we would need the measurements as I’m using a one size, just like what you would buy in a shop.
I have added a picture to show how to measure your head 🤗

I’m having to order some more Welsh fabric as I’ve almost ran out 🫣😂

We hope everyone is coping the best they can in this heatwave, stay safe and hydrated everyone.

Lil splottie working the best and as quickly as she can in the craft room, making bucket hats which she’ll have finished today for those who have ordered them.

Going to make bucket hats for next week as it’s going to be a heat wave 🤗😂

It was originally going to be rain macs and wellies but now it’s looking like bucket hats and sun cream 😂😂

Do your kids give teachers give at the end of the year! Well if they do then these would make a perfect gift and something different to the norm.
I can add the teachers on the spine if you would like it to be more personal.

I have many different designs, which I’m currently working through while sorting out orders.

Well folks how’s everyone been today? Hope you’re coping well!🥵
The Splottie girls went to their Knit and Natter group with friend Jackie this morning. Hard going for mama, she just doesn’t like this heat at all….Seen a days gone by photo of the 1976 heat wave. Brought back memories, mama was living in Germany, and a forest fire had broken out just down the road, water planes were flying over 24/7, unfortunately, there was also an ammunition camp quite close by, 😳 so was put on standby to be evacuated at anytime! Thankfully everything was brought under control before anything serious happened.

Hope everyone is managing to keep cool in this heatwave, 🥵🥵

This is the temperature today in Splottie land. I’m afraid mama Splottie is not a sun worshiper, and is melting away, 🥵 and trying to keep cool 🆒 lil Splottie has been out doing some weeding 🥵 so no sewing done today, don’t think there’ll be anything done this week, apart from knitting by mama. Hope you all have a good evening, and everyone is able to sleep tonight!😴🥵💋

Morning everyone, hope you all had a good weekend and all ready for the coming week.
What a miserable day it is here in Splottie land, I think the Splottie girls will be struggling to get anything done today 🫤lil Splottie has lots of new items to assemble, and sew up, and mama has knitting on her needles needing to be completed! A new lap blanket has been completed on the loom, just waiting to be blocked, and a new graph in progress, ready for the next blanket to be started! Blankets are really a great thing to have, especially in the current climate, if you’d like one, pls feel free to ask!
Cushions were requested last week for a birthday present, football theme, and Avenger/StarWars, completed, birthday boy was very pleased 😁
We have a very large selection of materials, if anyone would like one made up for that special gift.
