Guest artist Louise Lily King of Arianwen and the Owl has recently relocated her studio to Carmarthen, just down the road from Origin.

In her own words:

"I am inspired by Nature and its role in the mythology, folktales and storytelling of Britain and Ireland, having a particular fascination for Welsh myth and folklore. Creating highly detailed drawings, often with subtle hand-embellished details, I aim to capture something of the character and symbolism of the creatures and plants which play such an important role in these stories and traditions. 

Originally from Swansea, I studied for a degree in Contemporary Textile Practice in Cardiff and a Masters degree in Multidisciplinary Printmaking in Bristol; I lived in Bristol for many years before relocating to South Pembrokeshire in 2021.

​I'm happiest by the sea, in the woods, or exploring the hedgerows."

Origin's latest guest exhibition is on its final week for this trio.
We've had a fabulous few weeks showcasing the paintings of Karen Fitzpatrick, the felt of Ruth Packam and the jewellery of Charlotte Voaden.
So if something catches your eye you'd better race into Origin before next Saturday, for then it will disappear in a puff if smoke and magic.
