What a day!

Yesterday I had the joy of watching Hannah and Conor get married. We’ve known Hannah since she was 2 years old, and so yesterday was such an emotional rollercoaster for so many reasons. My heart and soul were filled with pride and love for Hannah and Conor , a day I will never forget. On top of that I got to create the most beautiful whimsical cottage garden flowers . Conor and Hannah chose a mixture of pink and white with a pop of yellow… a perfect choice as it all looked wonderful. Thank you to Conor Hannah , Andrew and Kathleen for allowing me play a small part of this magical day

I love receiving thank you cards from my grooms and brides. It’s so nice to get such lovely positive feedback back and makes me feel extremely proud of my creations. The hard work is extremely rewarding especially when you see the look of sheer delight on your bride or grooms face…. Often the flowers take days of planning and preparation…. It’s a labour of love to create each bespoke wedding, but I wouldn’t change the feeling of satisfaction for anything.

Helen and Liam were married recently in Goldhanger…. I’ve known helen since she was born and so it was real honour to make her flowers for the wedding. She had a very clear vision…. As bright and colourful as possible! We chose flowers and foliages to decorate the church the wonderful tipi including a colossal 12 ft ring of flowers hanging from the tipi roof…. Helen chose a beautiful mix of late summer blooms for her and her maids bouquets. The weather was beautiful and it all looked perfect on the day. Congratulations to you both. ###

What a beautiful late summers day here in Chelmsford .I was busy cleaning my windows and got seduced by these hydrangeas… so I downed my bucket and cloth and made this little door wreath. I love the colours….it matches my front door! It’s not completely symmetrical, but then it’s a good reminder that things in life do not need to be perfect!

This was so easy to make… a simple willow ring and some hydrangea heads… just poke the stems through the willow. The heads should all dry out nicely, so it will last a good few weeks.
