This little ball of fluff may not look like much of a super hero but she quietly and calmly is.

Bubbles super power is to sit it out... To sit on the person who is hurting most in the room and wait it out. She has brought chunks of hope when theres not much light inside and has persuaded people to stay by silently loving them in her own way.

Bubble has loved people who have thought themselves unlovable. She hasn't cared what they did or didn't do. She has just been an unmovable little doggy until they have reached down and started to stroke her for as long as they have needed that contact.

Bubble has been my little oasis in dessert lands, and calm ship in rough seas.

All this in one little pickle dog.

Use things you find on a walk to make a game of conker Croquet.
I was inspired by Alice in Wonderland and hedgehogs and Autumn and you can decorate your croquet mallets and hoops however you would like. I have kept my decorations simple so everyone can have a go. I couldn't add leaves as it's pouring with rain and the leaves are wet, but I would add leaf prints and collage some leaves onto my hoops if I could.

You can add maths elements by counting how many hits it takes to get your conker through a hoop. Record on a chart (or make a graph).

Explore shape and how the conker shape affects the direction it goes in and test the stick to find out if a thicker stick works better or if a stick from a particular tree or plant works best.

Look at mathematical and directional language of under, past big, small, left, right.

Use this as an opportunity to cheer each other on, work together to make it work, find ways to compliment each others attempts and have conversations that allow the child to explain how something went well. Cheer and use motivational language is to promote positive reenforcements and empower.



Or just have lots of fun and see where the conversation takes you. 😊

I couldn't resist sharing this. It's a, little early for Halloween crafts but if you have plans for a crafty Halloween this might just be something you want incorporate into your day...
(Some of you might be aware that this is right up my alley as it incorporates biology, human form, art, observational skills, making comparisons, measurements, multi-subject discussions in health and well-being with food. What's not to love about this project)

Mix a little body science with your art lesson by making a pasta skeleton. Use craft sticks as a base for an extra cool look.

As the weather is changing and preparations are being made for winter, I thought I'd share this bird feeder idea.
My Dad, or Pops loves making sure the birds survive the winter months and has multiple feeders to keep his local bird populations happy.

Much of the insect population is destroyed through the use of pestecides in our gardens and in fields and the least we can do is help our birds out.

We can help rebalance this in the spring and summer months by building insect hotels and making hidey holes for them but right now this could help our birds survive the winter months.

Happy Autumn.
Bubble is, a very accommodating model...except when it gets in the way of her napping.
She did sit up for a couple of photos, but then collapsed with a huffy sigh.
Little miss sassquatch has spoken!

For my friends who have small children or who like me, just do this stuff because they can, I am looking forwards to seeing all the creativity you bring and am with you dancing through leaves, riding my bike through puddles and enjoying nature in its most glorious season.

I will of course also be huddled up under a duvet because it's getting cold out there! 😊
