Here we have a stunning herringbone hallway completed by us from just a few weeks ago!
We started by uplifting and disposing of the old, tired engineered wood floor along with the underlayment and getting the original subfloor back to a blank canvas. Then in with the prep, we opted for an 18mm ply board for this job, substantially strengthening the floor & also bringing it up to height to create a seamless finish in the opposing rooms and on the front door threshold.
The tile of choice on this one was ‘Quayside Oak’ in small parquet, maximising and capturing the full pattern even down the narrow part of the hallway!
