We have just finished sanding a red Oak strip floor which had been previously stained in a dark brown , with a bit of persistence we removed it, to keep the floor lighter we applied two coats of Osmo raw translucent.

These are the resulting photos of the previous post where we re sanded this solid Oak strip floor to remove sanding marks put in the floor by others with machines from a tool hire shop, we finished the floor with Bona kemi Classic anti yellowing primer and 2 coats of Bona mega matt anti yellowing lacquer.

needed time and work, never easy to work on with
other trades using the stairs!
We fitted ply to treads and risers, fitted solid 20mm
prime Oak to treads and veneer to curved risers, we
made up a black stain with a slight tint of blue, and
applied one coat of Bona classic primer, and 3 coats of
Bona kemi traffic hd.

It’s been a while since we restored a Maple plank floor, this floor had the usual signs of wear and tear plus the yellow oxidation of uv after 15 years.
We sanded the floor to a very fine finish and applied one coat of non yellowing Bona white primer and two coats of non yellowing Bona mega matt lacquer.
