At Far Hill Flowers we grow beautiful flowers for weddings, funerals and florists. Artisan floristry We are based just outside Monmouth.

At Far Hill Flowers we grow a range of beautiful, traditional cottage garden flowers. They have a heavenly scent, vibrant colours and are grown outside and some in our small polytunnel. The cutting garden is awash with butterflies, bees, hoverflies, lacewings and all other sorts of insects. We also have slugs and snails but to help us combat those there are many thrushes who work tirelessly to eat their way through them and when they are exhausted the frogs and toads take over. The plants are fed with nettle and comfrey soup and our homemade compost. We supply local florists and DIY brides and anyone who needs flowers for a special occasion or just because. Call us or message us and see what we can do for you.

Time to Ramble On.
Leaves are falling all around, time I was on my way.

I completely love this time of year. If I could hibernate I would.... just so long as I had Led Zeppelin playing in the background

Another sucessful course run and lots of happy people heading home inspired to start growing flowers...and I was so busy all day that I totally forgot to take any pictures. Doh! There will be another one next year if you are interested. And now I have no voice so everyone will get some peace.

These beautiful arrangements were created by my sister for the new Sense and Sensibility film. She used only British flowers (some of them mine 😁) and almost entirely from members. A wild, natural and gathered look was key and they fitted the period, vibe and look of the film perfectly.

She had to work on the wilds of Dartmoor, across the country and in period houses where she wasn't allowed to use water 😲. Then she had to keep the flowers fresh or recreate the arrangements exactly when they needed to retake a scene.

I thought wedding flowers were stressful!

And when the film came out.... well she claims you can't even see the flowers, but judging by the response from fellow flower farmers who can spot an authentic arrangement at a thousand paces.. they're getting noticed 😁

Have you seen the new Sense and Sensibility film? My clever sister was the floral consultant on the film and used only British flowers from Flowers from the Farm members (and quite a few of mine too) for the wild, gathered and natural looking arrangements. They really add to the whole look of the film. She had to work in some very testing conditions (middle of Dartmoor) and some very grand houses where she wasn't allowed to use water for any of the arrangements! Check out her instagram account 😁
