Starting my career with Poggenpohl in my home town of Bury St Edmunds, I spent a further 7 years with Kitchen Consultants, the premier studio in Cambridge, selling many more European kitchen brands. We were truly kitchen consultants! It was a great time with great customers! We created beautiful kitchens, well ahead of the curve and they worked! I used mirrors since my own very first kitchen in 19
89 and was recognized as an early designer of kitchens using 2 colours for the units & introducing the third to pull the scheme together. It was effective selling back then, products were new & we were fully versed to demonstrate how things worked & considered how the client wanted to work. Lifestyle had kicked in & we were listening! That knowledge & attitude continues as things get more complicated. When you by such a big ticket item like a kitchen, you must entrust yourself into the hands of someone that knows what they're doing, it's either an investment of ones hard earned or a waste as you've allowed a clown have a go at it! Either way, it's a reflection of you. A client may not have bought a kitchen before or for at least 10 years. Lots of new products constantly come on to the market and if the kitchen consultant is worth their salt, they should be clued up and able to offer the right design for the job. Value is what one needs. Remember, never be hurried by the never ending sale that ends Friday! it doesn't, they'll be another one on Monday! Starting -dream kitchens in 2010, it's was a leap of faith but, as many will say - I should have done it years before! i-dream can easily surpass the prices of pedestrian design & out and out boring plans and the poor quality offerings from the sheds when required. Then there's the dedicated side of the business where we move it up a gear to something creative & different within specified budgets.
