Dark kitchen cabinets are definitely rich and dramatic but pale tones can look equally as striking. These Linen (not cream) wood grain effect shaker doors give a classic and timeless look but also feel modern. Matching the Linen (not cream) tones through the worktops allows the walls to become a feature and black handles, sink, tap and fixtures add to the contrast.

They say good things come in small packages. That's definitely true of this kitchen. The Dove grey painted timber doors, crisp white Quartz worktops and white walls all add up to make the space feel bigger than it is, even with the huge range cooker. Not filling all the walls with cupboards, leaving areas for some soon to be installed artwork, pushes the walls back adding to the feeling of space. Pinching an unused corner of the dining room for a larder unit creates much needed extra storage.

Pailer colours are definitely this years in look. Blending cabinets with the worktops makes everything look bright and fresh and timber floors bring the warmth. The big walk in corner larder unit creates masses of practical storage.

There are kitchens and there are kitchens. Painted Shaker style timber doors in a mix of Fjord blue and Cashmere with quartz and solid oak worktops on the 3m x 1.5m island. Classic, traditional, timeless.

It took a while to get around to taking photos of this one but good things are worth waiting for. Painted timber doors with concrete effect worktops. The curved units soften the corner and makes helps the flow from kitchen to dinning area.

Painted timber effect "skinny" shaker doors in Dust grey are a modern twist on a classic style. The oak effect laminate worktops match the flooring and add a touch of warmth and cosiness. Side by side full height integrated fridge and freezer are a must have on a lot of people's wish lists these days.

Before and after. A simple bathroom transformation but still with the wow factor. Bath out and walk in shower in. Black accents give an air of luxury.

Classic shaker style wood grain effect doors in Fir Green which is the latest on trend colour. The Carrara Marble laminate worktops stop the room feeling too dark and are a great hard wearing, cost effective alternative to Granite or Quartz.
