Recently completed works in Richmond for Scott's by Ivy Collection. S&R worked with WFC to fulfil a very short programme of works. S&R works included custom raised & fielded wall panels, custom ceiling cornices & coffers, waiter stations, greeter stations, custom oak stained panelled fire doorsets, antique brass metal works, column cladding & various back of house joinery.

We are currently looking for a motivated and well-rounded individual to join our small office team in an estimating role. The person does not need to come from the construction industry, but this would be an advantage. We will produce a 5-year plan for the successful applicant in keeping with our continuous improvement (kaizen) philosophy.

Salary negotiable dependent upon individual & ability to fulfil the role.

Estimating role:

• Initially working directly with the Directors to create bill of quantity & spreadsheet format (Microsoft excel based) estimates, directly from tender enquiry packs.
• Learning and understanding the fit-out elements associated with a typical joinery tender (wardrobes, vanity units, doors etc.).
• Reading and understanding of tender/construction issue drawings.
• Marking up plans as check surveys to be included within tenders.
• Direct contact with estimators, quantity surveyors & buyers from UK tier 1 main contractors. Forming good working relationships during the estimating process to ensure receipt of future tenders.
• Creation of a supplier price list and working directly with our supply chain to create as standard products pricing matrix.
• Creation of an installation price matrix which can be regularly reviewed with our Contracts Manager to ensure estimates are accurate.
• Assisting in the development of other pricing documents.
• Raising purchase orders for large value materials once estimates are secured & approvals processes are complete.
• Attending pre-order meetings with the Directors.
• Managing the drawings for approval process using CAD technicians (no requirement to be able to draw although beneficial).
• Handover of project to appointed Project Manager, retaining an ongoing dialogue, and capturing additional work instructions (variations), ensuring cost is communicated with customer and included in monthly interim payment applications.
• Creation of ‘price work’ documents to be used specific to projects & work with Contracts Manager to bring projects in on estimated cost.
• Monthly visits to our London based projects (travel expenses paid) to complete interim application documents.

Candidate requirements:

• Solid English, mathematics.
• Microsoft Office specifically Excel experience.
• Experience within construction industry preferable.
• Experience of joinery, design, detailing an advantage.
• Positive attitude, patient approach, willingness to learn.
• Graduate considered.

Role involves collection of curtain sided van or smaller from S&R in Chichester with 99% of deliveries going into London, Sometimes deliveries may be combined with supplier collections. Leman Locke Annex, 21 Buckle Street, 12 Storey, 103 Guestroom Luxury modern living Apart-hotel. S&R have completed a 12 month fit out in Whitechapel, East London. Works included the supply and installation of kitchenettes to 87 guestrooms, painted timber fin wall panelling to guestrooms, guestroom curtain goalposts & metal fall rails; full reception package including reception desk, glass box feature, 265m2 FR class B timber fin wall panels, timber & upholstered banquette seating, PDQ self check-in unit, custom display folly's; custom timber ceiling canopies, glass pod-cast room screens and seating; stainless steel lift surrounds Ground to Level 11, corridor timber fin panels, brass handrails to stairs, mezzanine arch oak fall protection with double brass shadow detail to arch formers, custom oak shelves & front door handles.

Cheval Moreau House, 7 Storey CAT A offices. S&R have completed a 6 month fit out at this prestigious spot opposite Harrods in Knightsbridge. Works included reception desk, kitchenettes, internal and external LED signage, timber & metal wall cladding, metal lift surrounds, stairwell metal cladding, bathroom vanity units & joinery, mirrors, FF&E installation, timber internal fire rated doorset & metal service riser doorset supply and installation.

The Nadler Covent Garden Hotel, London

Project completed in January 2019, Project awarded by the main contractor Blenheim House Construction.

S&R fit out included custom Guestroom Bedheads, Wardrobes, Kitchenettes, Wall mirrors, Corian bathroom vanity tops & bath panels, Custom LED staircase handrails including integrated LED system, Fire rated doorset installation, Reception FR custom wall panelling, Reception concrete corian desk, Reception area wall panels, Reception sliding storage cupboards, Reception perch bar, Reception seating, Back of house kitchens, desk, Adjustable linen cupboards & storage units, staff lockers & bike racks.

S&R are close to completion on The Nadler Covent Garden Hotel working with Blenheim House Construction. Today we powered up our custom made European Oak, Black stained & oiled handrail which has an integrated 8 metre continious LED system between each level. We've supplied all the fitted joinery to the Guestrooms, Reception & Back of house. Lots more photos to come after the Hotel opens in February.
