I grow beautiful seasonal flowers that I use in hand tied bouquets or arrangements that are sold from the house or can be delivered locally.

I can also provide flowers for weddings and funeral or any other event.

It is such a pleasure to be asked back to Neptune Canterbury for the 10th year of Christmas wreath making, still a couple of places available, and all the details are on their Instagram page.

I will also be hosting wreath making in my workshop again this year, where you can enjoy a really festive morning, making a traditional mossed based wreath decorated with a fabulous selection of home grown winter foliage and dried flowers, berries and fruits. Warmed by plenty of hot drinks and homemade cakes and mince pies. The perfect way to spend time with friends or just a couple of hours to get creative with a lovely bunch of people.

Really pleased to see how well the green manure has taken after the drought. Giving me ground cover for the winter.

There's a good selection of weeds in there as well, which I feel tempted to take out, but I am going to leave for now, as they are "roots in the ground" which is good for the microbes, and may get knocked back with a hard frost if we get one.

This is my current debate.

Do I cut back plants to tidy up for winter, and miss the last flowers that are still around, and feeding the bees.

Or do I get on and tidy up whilst the weather is still good for gardening.

When you do cut back and think the job is done, you then get another flush of flowers like the echinops, and have to cut them back later when it cools down.

Its certainly not a normal October with this mild weather.

We did embrace the colours of autumn at today's workshop, with garlands and wreaths created with a lovely selection of dried flowers and foliage to use.

The next workshops will be for Christmas wreaths, spaces still available on some dates, all the information is on my website, link in bio.

Dahlias are still having their moment, and some plants are having a round 2 after the drought, such as achelia.

There's still flowers available, as these bouquets go to prove.

East Kent ploughing match is being held tomorrow, 30th September at Monkton.

Its a great day out where you can see lots of different classes competing to show off their skills at ploughing, and a chance for the rural community to get together.
