🩵 Do you have a bit of spare time & would like to help an ever-growing nonprofit community interest company?
💜 We run an exciting venue exhibiting locally made art & craft
💚 An eco hub selling plastic-free refills & eco products & collect hard-to-recycle items like corks & make-up
💗A workroom for art, craft & well-being classes

💛 is a vibrant village that is visited by both locals & people from all over the world. Volunteering with us means you get to meet loads of interesting people surrounded by the most beautiful handmade things from paintings to pottery 💛
Over the time we have been open we have had many volunteers express how life-enhancing being part of The Old Milk Bar can be, from igniting a love of crafting to boosting confidence or gaining experience & a reference enabling progression to employment elsewhere. 💛

💜 If you don’t have regular hours to spare don’t worry! We also need help with:
💙 Photography, Social Media posts & expanding our reach
🧡 Shop Maintenance/kerb appeal
♥️ Distrubution of leaflets/posters
💜 Running/promoting classes

As our workroom is cosy, places are always limited so it’s best to book early to avoid disappointment 🎟️🥰

💕If you’re a crafter, artist, teacher or group that would like to rent our workroom/ run classes please get in touch! Our rates are really reasonable, our room is accessible and we have a little kitchen for refreshments too💕

🗓️🖊️ It seems like there’s a ‘day’ for everything these days but when we heard about ‘International Yarn Day’ we just had to do a post to celebrate! 🥳 🧶💕

🧶🥰 We have several awesome knitters & crocheters that exhibit with us & make the most beautiful items for adults, children & home. So if you love yarny stuff but don’t have the time or skills to hand-create like Maureen, Rowena Portertribecrafted, Sarah , Cally, Kelly, Mandy or Bev Beverley Jean Furniss pop in & see the reasonably-priced items they have magicked up with their needles & hooks 🧶🥰

💷 The Royal Mint announced today that British wildlife will be featured on the next design of bank notes.
A puffin, hedgehog, bumblebee & barn owl will be depicted on the reverse so we’ve picked a few examples from our shelves to mark the occasion. 💷

💷🪙💳We can also use this opportunity to say we take both cash & card payments 😁 💳🪙💷

🥰As we are a C.I.C all the profit made from exhibiting & selling local art & craft, eco refills & products goes back into the business. Totally run by volunteers, we are here to showcase the talent, community & caring for the environment that exists within & the surrounding areas 🥰

🏺Hand-thrown, sculpted or slab-built into homeware, decorative items or jewellery the three ceramicists we have ‘wheely’ blow us away with their ‘cracking’ creativity 🤪🏺
