Hi, I'm Bekah, a South Manchester based artist and crafter. My artwork and inspiration comes from animals and nature, and a magical realm.

I have ASD (autism spectrum disorder) and anxiety disorder. These conditions can make the everyday very challenging, so there's nothing I enjoy more than retreating to the rural countryside, riverbanks, and other green, quiet relaxing spaces away from the overstimulating busy world. I'm always inspired by nature, the animals and magical colourful plants enrich my weary spirit. Sadly I can't picture things in my minds eye so my trusty camera is my constant companion.

I love wondering what creatures come out to play when nobody is looking and what magical form the plants take. I use my photography as a visual aid, then create what I think we don't see. Whether its a Fox or Fairy, Squirrel or Sprite, Woodpecker or Wood Nymph.

My other great love is cats. I love meeting new feline friends and catching up with old ones. I adore drawing cats, each kitty is unique and I try and capture their distinct personality in my art.
