Now this was a job and a half! 🥵

We were asked by a builder to supply and fit 74 blinds across two blocks at a school in Harwich, all while the pupils were off for the summer holidays.

We promised we'd have it completed within three weeks... and when we say we can do something, we deliver!! 💯

So last week it was all hands on deck... quite literally. Chris and Billy were joined by Emma, who normally keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes and answers all your messages. 😊

You know we're busy when Emma gets dragged out of the office for manual labour! 😂😂

Between the three of us, we fitted all 74 blinds in around six hours, and the two blocks were complete and ready for the new school term. 💪

We love our domestic work, but it's great to take on these larger commercial jobs too. More importantly, when another business puts its reputation in our hands and gives us a deadline, we take that seriously. 🤝

We are REALLY looking forward to taking a little break this Bank Holiday Monday! 😄

Work has been absolutely relentless lately, but we aren't complaining... honestly! 😬🤣😂

We're incredibly grateful to be so busy and to have so many of you choosing us for your homes. 💙

But even we need to put the tape measures down occasionally, so we'll be enjoying a well-earned day off on Monday. 🙌

You can still send us messages and enquiries as usual, but please bear with us if it takes a little longer than normal to get back to you. We'll catch up with everyone as soon as we're back.

And to all of you lucky enough to get a break this Bank Holiday too, we hope you have a really lovely one. Fingers crossed for some sunshine in between the rain! ☀️🤞

Another home transformed with shutters. 💙

We recently fitted shutters to the front and back windows of Deborah's lounge in Clacton, and they've made a real difference to the whole room.

Having shutters at both ends creates such a lovely, consistent finish, while giving Deborah complete control over the light and privacy throughout the day... particularly useful when you have windows facing in different directions. 😉👏

They're clean, timeless and don't overpower the room. They simply make everything feel finished. 💯

These are a little bit different! 😍

We fitted these two shaped shutters for Claire in Little Clacton a couple of weeks ago, designed especially for these beautiful arched windows.

The half-circle section at the top certainly isn't something you can buy off the shelf! Every part follows the shape and curves of the original window, giving Claire all the benefits of shutters without hiding what makes the windows so special in the first place.

Installations like this really show what made-to-measure means. Unusual shapes, awkward angles and windows that leave you wondering what on earth you could put there... they're often our favourites! 😄

Sometimes the best compliment you can give a shutter is that it simply looks like it belongs there. 💙

We recently fitted this bow window shutter for a customer in Holland-on-Sea, and with such a beautifully decorated room... just look at that ceiling!

The shutter sits quietly in the background, giving the customer the privacy and light control they wanted while perfectly complementing the room's style. 😍

We fitted it onto a batten too, specifically allowing space for the customer to add a window seat cushion afterwards. Those little details we consider when measuring make a truly made-to-measure installation.

Practical, understated and absolutely perfect for the space. 💯

We recently returned to this customer's home for the third time. After fitting blinds throughout the house and then a flyscreen across their bifold doors, they wanted complete blackout in the bedroom. 😁

And when we say complete, we mean it! The system is sealed around the edges too, so you can see from the video just how dark the room becomes.

Perfect for children's bedrooms and afternoon naps, shift workers who need to sleep during the day, or anyone who simply doesn't want to be woken by the early morning sun.

And with the heat we've been having lately, blocking that sunshine during the day can also help keep the bedroom much cooler. ☀️

Another returning customer... we couldn't ask for a better recommendation. ❤️

Another neat little installation from last week. 😊

This bathroom cassette roller blind was fitted for Alison in Weeley, giving the window a lovely, clean and tidy finish.

Of course, when we're helping you choose a blind for a bathroom, it's not just about the colour or how it looks. We make sure the fabric and materials are suitable for the conditions of the room too. Bathrooms can be warm, humid places, so choosing the right product matters. 😉

We'd love to say that every single job goes perfectly from beginning to end, but occasionally there can be a little snag. What matters is what happens next...

We sort it. Simple as that. 💯

We would never fit your blinds or shutters, take your money and then leave you in the lurch if you needed us. Customer satisfaction comes before everything else here, and we're still available to our customers for help and advice months (and even years) after an installation. 🤗

So to read that this customer "wouldn't go anywhere else now" means an awful lot to us. And even better, they're already planning to have us back for the next room! 😊

This impressive installation was recently completed for Steven and Louise in Lawford, and what a difference it has made. 🤯😍

Because of the width of their conservatory, we installed two roof lantern cellular blinds side by side, giving them complete coverage whilst keeping everything looking neat and perfectly balanced. 👌

During this recent spell of hot weather, conservatories can quickly become too warm to enjoy. These blinds provide a simple way to reduce the heat and glare, making the room far more comfortable without losing the natural light that makes a conservatory so special. 😉

And the benefits don't stop in the summer. These blinds also provide an extra layer of insulation during the colder months, helping to reduce heat loss and keep the room more comfortable all year round.

These two tracked shutters were fitted last week for Elaine in Clacton, spanning two large sets of bifold doors, and we think they look absolutely stunning. 😍

One of the biggest advantages of tracked shutters is just how versatile they are. Closed, they help keep the room cooler, reduce glare and give you complete privacy. But when you want to enjoy the sunshine or admire the garden, the panels slide neatly back, opening up the entire view. 👏

It's the best of both worlds. All the benefits of shutters without losing the feeling of having wide, open doors. 😉

During weather like we've been having recently, they're also a fantastic way to keep rooms more comfortable while still letting you control how much natural light comes into your home.
