Well, I think it's safe to say we've earned our tea tonight! 😂

It's been all go here today, these are just a few of the things we've been working on… there's been plenty more going on that never made it in front of the camera! 🙈

Oh, this BLOODY GORGEOUS bouquet! 💚

All those beautiful whites and fresh greens, with the most gorgeous textures running through it. Hydrangeas, lilies, lissianthus, Ammi, eucalyptus and lots more.

A luxury bouquet created for a very special birthday, because some occasions deserve something a little bit extra.

SOMETIMES, IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE

Yesterday I got asked if I could deliver a little “thinking of you” bouquet today, Sunday.

Now, Sundays are usually my day off, and I don't normally work or deliver on a Sunday.

BUT… I was already going into the shop today to do some funeral work, and the delivery was in my own village, so I thought… why not? 🥰

Because sometimes, it's not about whether it's convenient. It's about knowing that a little bunch of flowers might brighten someone's day, let someone know they're being thought of, or put a smile on their face when they need it most. 🌸

And I guess that's what being Flowers by Lavish is all about.

I'm not a big chain, I'm not a faceless business… I'm just me, a local florist who genuinely cares about what she does and the people she does it for. ❤️

I can't promise Sunday deliveries every week (a girl's got to have a day off occasionally! 😂 Plus the husband and kids wouldn't be happy), but if I can go that extra mile when it works, I'll always try.

Because sometimes, it's the little things that make you a little bit different. 🌷

🩷 🎀 THIS ONE IS PERSONAL… 🎀🩷

As Today is Wear It Pink Day, I wanted to share something personal (with the permission of my Aunt) so this year, my wear it pink means a little bit more to me.

My aunt has battled breast cancer not once, but twice — first in 2001 where she underwent a full mastectomy and then again in 2015.

And then, this year, she was faced with another enormous hurdle when the cancer spread to her brain.

She underwent a 10 hour brain operation, and sadly they couldn't get all of it out. She came out of surgery with 34 staples running from her ear towards the front middle of her head. I would show you a picture but honestly it's too upsetting. 💗

It's been a lot for her to go through, and for our family to watch someone we care about face so much.

But thankfully, she's doing well. Her hair has grown back, and seeing her doing well after everything she's been through is something we're incredibly grateful for. 🩷

It's a reminder that behind every statistic, every awareness day and every pink ribbon, there's a real person, a family, and a story.

So today, I'll be thinking of my aunt, and everyone currently going through treatment, of those living with the effects of cancer, and of the families standing beside them.

🎀 TODAY, WE'RE THINKING PINK! 🎀

Today is Wear It Pink Day, raising awareness for Breast Cancer Now.

And today, there's a little extra pink happening here at Lavish HQ!

Most of us know someone whose life has been touched by breast cancer. (I certainly do) Someone who's going through treatment right now, someone who's facing the uncertainty of it all, or someone who's come out the other side and is learning to find their feet again.

Sometimes, we just don't know what to say or how to help. 🩷

But a little bunch of flowers or 1 pink carnation or 1 pink rose can be a lovely way of saying…

🩷 I'm thinking of you.
🩷 I'm here for you.
🩷 Look how far you've come.

I've got some beautiful pink bunches available in the shop today if you'd like to treat someone special and let them know they're in your thoughts.

You don't need a special occasion to make someone's day a little brighter.
