The Stitchy Dino and Stitchy Dino Designs are closing for now 💕

Hello lovelies. It’s been a bit of a rough week.

If you didn’t already know, I have some underlying health conditions which mean I suffer with a lot of chronic pain. As of yesterday my doctor decided that I need to come off all my pain medication. Medication (of any sort it seems) is no longer recommended for chronic pain. He’s immediately halved my dose and in 4 weeks it will all be stopped completely.

The pain medication was the one thing that has given me any sort of quality of life and without that who knows what’s going to happen. What I do know though, is that if it goes back to how it was before I started the pain medication then there is going to be no room in my life for anything other than the absolute necessities.

Real talk, The Stitchy Dino and Stitchy Dino Designs barely make enough to cover what goes into them, they take A LOT of time and can be physically and mentally exhausting. Yes, I love making and designing but it’s something I can only just manage on medication so without that? It’s not going to be something I’ll be able to do.

It has been a fun year and a bit and really did give me a sense of purpose again after years of feeling lost and broken. But for now, I need to figure out my limits again as my medication comes to an end (and probably tackle some sort of withdrawal along the way).

Who knows, maybe it will all be okay and I’ll be back in the new year. I’d really love that to be the case! But for now it’s time to close while I get my s**t together and learn how to function around pain without any form of relief.

Don't get me wrong, I have some amazing friends who know me well enough that I can actually say "sorry, my social battery is empty" and they wouldn't be offended but it's not always that straight forward 😂

I don't know about you but Christmas is pretty a fu***ng exhausting period for my social battery so this one really speaks to me, especially at this time of year 😅

Hands up if you’ve heard “why don’t you just answer it?” before… Just answer it! Honestly! It gets even more ridiculous when it’s an unknown number - I will sit an watch that s**t ring and hope they leave a voicemail if it’s important 😂

“If Introverts Were Honest” A new pattern series coming soon 🤩

I’m a HUGE introvert, and it’s often a really fine line between being honest and coming across like a bit of a dick 😬😂 I mean, when someone asks if you’re having a good time how do you say “ honestly, I’d rather be at home” with it sounding really s**tty 🤷‍♀️😂

So I decided to cross stitch it and stick it on my wall instead 😅

The first pattern, “I’d Rather Be At Home” will be launching on Friday 🥳

I’ve been working on something quite exciting over the weekend…

It’s still a massive work in progress but it’s getting there - I really struggle with learning new technical things and I’ve said “f**k it” more times than I can count but I’m finally starting to get my head around it all 😂

And to all those tutorials that say “set up your website in 30 mins” I say utter bo****ks. It took me that long to work out how to actually do anything at all 🤦‍♀️😂
