Hello everyone!

Our next meeting will take place this Wednesday, 1st of April at Memus Hall at 7:30pm.

I’m super pleased to say that we have Alison Beattie coming along for a cookery demonstration.

Competitions:

• Handcrafts: Easter Bonnet
• Flower of the Month

If you have any Institute trophies, please make sure you bring them along so we can have them ready for next month.

Finally, it would be wonderful if you could bring along your winning tickets from the Federation Show. If not we can always get them next month for our AGM.

Cortachy SWI welcomed The Funky Teapot 🫖 on Wednesday evening. Michala introduced Donna, Graham, and Laura and after a brief introduction it was time to get our creative juices flowing. Our members decorated a ceramic item of their choosing.
It wasn’t long before all heads were down, deep in concentration at the painting. Donna, Graham and Laura kept us on task and encouraged our efforts, giving guidance when required. Some impressive talents were on display, and we cannot wait to see the finished items when they are returned to us.

On Wednesday evening we will be joined by The Funky Wee Teapot from Montrose, where we can all decorate a ceramic item of our choice !

Please bring £10 in cash on the night if you wish to take part in this.

On Wednesday evening Cortachy SWI enjoyed ‘A Matter of Opinion’ presented by
Kath Baxter, Margaret Waddell, Malcolm Rooney and Malcolm Taylor.

The panel discussed a wide variety of topics; Power Infrastructure, 20mph speed limits, Mobile Phones in schools, Technology and it’s impact on our lives, Tourist Tax, Insurance for Outdoor Pursuits, and finally, Fish and House Guests: should they both leave after 3 days?

Panel members gave some interesting, at times compelling and at other times amusing insights as to their personal views on these topics.

This Wednesday (the 14th) we are holding our Matter of Opinion evening where we have a panel discussing some interesting topics.

Please remember to pass Irene any remaining Federation Show entries and ensure your fees are paid to Hazel.

Hello ladies!

Wednesday is our annual much loved Christmas 🎄 party. We will enjoy some fun games followed by our wonderful festive buffet.
Please could we ask that everyone bring a plate to contribute to the buffet - either sweet or savoury - as our tea ladies will be enjoying the evenings fun too 🍷 🍪.

We will be doing our Secret Santa again this year which takes the place of our usual raffle. Everyone is kindly asked to bring a small gift worth £5 so that our members leave feeling full of festive cheer. 🎁

It would be wonderful to see everyone in Christmas 🎅🏻 jumpers or party sparkles ✨, but please join us in whatever makes you feel most comfortable xx
