Can't quite believe it's here already.

First event of the season. And The Garage is such an amazing destination venue. Brilliant atmosphere and loads of lovely stalls to shop from (including mine of course).

See you there tomorrow!

SOCK OF THE DAY🧦

Well, a pair obviously 🙄

If handnade luxurious knitted socks are your thing, and you love these colours as much as i do, pop 'Berry Blaze' into the search on my website.

So... apparently nobody wants to hear about warm, woolly accessories yet. 😂

Fair enough. After the glorious summer we've just had, the thought of putting on a pair of wristwarmers probably feels about as appealing as lighting the log burner.

That hasn't stopped me making them, though.

Since I last posted in May, I've somehow individually knitted 103 pairs of socks, 35 pairs of wristwarmers, plus a few hats, a few headwarmers and a sprinkling of neckwarmers. Every one handmade, one at a time. 🧶

So, um... here's a couple of pictures of some things I've made. 🤷‍♀️

You'll find lots more on the Penelope Knitstop website, if you really can't resist having a look.

But honestly, it's still far too warm to be thinking about most of this, so don't bother looking just yet.

There's plenty of time to wait until the cold weather arrives. 😎

A little something different from me 🌿

As most of my makes are geared towards colder weather, I usually spend the off-season building up stock, getting stuck into the garden, and enjoying a bit of creative freedom. One of my favourite ways to use that time is making pieces to support the incredible Bosnian dog shelter we adopted our dogs from 🐾 Hope VMS Elaine's Dogs.

They rely entirely on donations, so fundraising for them is something I truly care about.

This cardigan—lovingly nicknamed “The Bridgerton” (as I watched the entire boxset while crocheting it!)—is now up for auction in the Friends of Hope VMS Elaine’s Dogs Facebook group.

Current bid is very low so if you fancy grabbing a bargain and supporting an amazing cause, head over and place your bid 💛

It's been so long that I forgot to share this one on here too!🤣
