A Stab In The Wool I make all my decorative items using a technique called needle felting.

My only tools are a felting mat, a number of specially barbed needles and unspun sheep’s wool.

Phew 😥 what a busy day. 2 workshops creating all of these wonderful creations. A few not completely finished but they will be tweaked at home. So many new participants today and a few of my regulars. We had a great time and then home to babysit my beautiful grandson who completely drenched me at bath time 🤣🤣

A bit of work in progress that I have brought away with me whilst I spend a bit of time ‘up north’ to visit Beamish. Of course I needed to bring some felting with me. 🦊

Hi all, it’s been a little while since I posted anything but I have been working away. This is something that has just been finished. I was contacted by a lovely lady who didn’t want me to just make this, she wanted to make it with me. We have spent a few weeks putting it together and this is the end result. With a bit of AI for the background. Absolutely thrilled with how it has come together.

I’m a little bit in love with this and think I will probably keep this and enter it into Ferens Art Gallery next year for the ‘Open Event’.

I’ve had a lovely evening with my neighbour Justine and her granddaughter (all the way from Connecticut) making a flock of sheep. First time felters and I think their sheep are fantastic. Well done 👏

Hi everyone it’s been a while. Here we have yesterday’s creations. I love all of these. I had a couple of newbies too who have not felted before. It’s amazing what you can create in three hours with just a needle and some wool. 👏👏
