Baltic amber is fossilised tree resin left behind by mighty coniferous forests that once grew in the area of today’s Scandinavia, over 40 million years ago. Once a sticky tree sap - amber has encapsulated and preserved insects and fragments of plant species from a long-gone prehistoric world.

For thousands of years humans have been crafting jewels and trinkets using amber. Beads and amulets have been found in many ancient burial sites dating back through history, including at sacred stone sites such as Stonehenge.

In holistic medicine, baltic amber is said to offer a whole range of beneficial healing properties, including assisting in neural system recovery, fortifying our immune system, even assisting with the pain of infant teething. Baltic amber - also known as Succinite, contains around 3-8% of Succinic Acid - a scientifically recognised antioxidant used in modern medicine.

Known as ‘the living stone’, the mysteriously unique and unusual properties of amber, have always awakened our curiosities and exerted a deep fascination within us. The baltic amber we use has been sourced directly from the baltic coast of Poland. After a storm, and if mother nature permits - pebbles of raw amber can be found and collected as the tide retreats.
