Few bits I’ve been getting on with in the workshop this week 🪵

I don’t always get a full project finished each week, so thought I’d start sharing a bit more of what actually goes on in the workshop and the work that goes into each job.

A few different things taking shape this week, with plenty more to come.

All made by me in my little workshop here in County Durham using locally sourced hardwood where I can.

Give the page a follow to see how they turn out 👍

Been getting a few different projects done recently so thought I’d share some of the things I can offer through AJR Woodworks 🪵

I’m taking on all sorts of hardwood projects, from smaller bits like chopping boards and homeware, up to benches, tables, gates and larger pieces of furniture.

Everything is made by myself in my workshop in County Durham, using locally sourced timber wherever I can.

If you’ve got something in mind, big or small, just drop me a message. Happy to have a chat about ideas, sizes, different woods and what I can make to suit.

Another custom stair gate finished and fitted 🔨

Made to fit the existing opening and finished in white to tie in with the staircase, with black hardware for a bit of contrast.

Really pleased with how this one sits in the space — much nicer than an off-the-shelf baby gate and made specifically to suit the opening.

I can make these to suit different sized openings, finishes and styles.

Another handmade garden gate finished and fitted 🔨
Made to suit the existing opening, with a curved top and open spindle detail to give it a bit more character than a standard off-the-shelf gate.
Built by hand in my small workshop in County Durham and made to measure for each opening.
I can make gates in a range of styles and sizes, including softwood, oak, ash and beech, with different hinge and latch options available.

If you’re looking for a new garden or side gate, feel free to drop the page a message for a quote.
