Good morning all and happy Wellbeing Wednesday. 😃
Today, 20th May , is World Bee Day!
We can learn a lot from bees.
Our Mind it group reminds a bit of a beehive.......
As bees go about their day, they pollinate flowers .
This ripple effect brings life and nourishment to the world without the bee expecting anything in return.
See, thats how kindness works too.
During our session today our activity will be kindness based.
One small act of kindness from one person to another creates that same ripple effect.
The honey produced by bees represents a reward through immense collective effort. By working together, and relying on each other bees create the sweet , healing resourse for many others to enjoy.
The bees each have a role for the good of the whole hive. They teach us that community thrives when individuals show up, contribute and treat each other with respect.
Much like bees all contribute to a collective harvest, a common goal, our mind it group members all play their roles and step in to fill different needs as they arise, whether that is listening, organising, or just bringing humour. Each role is invaluable to the team.
Our peer led wellbeing group tries to capture the balance between individual need and collective support. It encourages teamwork and support as we all work towards our common goal of improving our mental health.
Finally, bees are loving , peace keeping creatures....but they also have boundaries. They only sting when those boundaries are threatened!
We all need boundaries. sometimes we need to react when our boundaries are under threat.
AND THATS OK!!! Thats how we preserve our peace.
So.....whatever you are doing today. Have a wonderful wednesday and remember to make some time for you.
Those of you coming along to group this week , remember we have a change of activity and venue to the one listed. We will be at Cradley Heath sports and social club meeting at 12 noon.
