My next bear has been given to match another received a while ago. Embroidered names on the sleeves and a lovely saying on the leg! This one had a scanned photo put on to transfer paper and ironed on to make a pocket on his back to remember a very special Dad and Grandad. Simplicity Bear pattern.

I have had some lovely comments from the owner of these bears. The lady who they are in memory of loved Christmas so they all have a Christmas theme including the purple bear which was made to remember a lovely wedding. There are many hours of work in these bears and I was able to unpick lots of the designs on the cardigan and include them on the bears. It was an honour to make these and lovely to ‘play’ a little! They were then posted which was a ‘first’ for me and nerve-wracking until I knew they arrived safely!

I can now show you this memory cushion made with a babies first outfit. It was tiny, so I unpicked all the seams to get as much fabric as I could. This was then cut into patchwork pieces and made into a cushion keeping the front of the babygro complete with the poppers for inserting the cushion. The tiny hat was placed on the back as I couldn't bring myself to cut that up!
It was tricky to photograph but hopefully you can zoom in!
