Happy National Book Lovers Day everyone! A day to celebrate everything reading and book related ❤️.

My favourite book is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I first read it when I was 14 when my great aunty Joan gave me this lovely old hardback copy. Then I have reread it several times since; my dad and I often enjoyed watching the excellent BBC adaptation with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle by Andrew Davies, and I’ll never get bored of it. I’m also obsessed with visiting Chatsworth House as it’s obviously the place that Jane Austen based Pemberley on in the book. I should really make myself some Pride and Prejudice jewellery but it always ends up in my market stall!

On 31st July, my good friend and I visited the stunning Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth for the first time in ten years and we had a wonderful day being immersed in all things Brontë in Howarth. I can’t wait to go back!

Some books I’ve been enjoying lately are ‘A Court Of Thorns And Roses’ and ‘A Court of Must And Fury’ by Sarah J Maas, and ‘The Eights’ by Joanna Miller.

What is your favourite book and why? What are you currently reading? If you could have any book made into my recycled book jewellery what would it be and why? Have you done or are you planning to do anything to celebrate National Book Lovers Day? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!

We’ll be back at Sandbach Makers Market this Saturday with Made By Margaret from 10am-3pm on the cobbles! I’ve been making lots of lovely ACOTAR jewellery so will be bringing that and lots more with me! We can’t wait to see the lovely people of Sandbach and the surrounding areas 💕

What is everyone reading at the moment? -I’d love your recommendations!
I’ve recently been enjoying the first two books from the A Court Of Thorns And Roses series, which I actually thought I’d hate! A few of my customers have recently asked me to create some ACOTAR jewellery, so I thought I’d source a cheap copy to cut up, (thank you Vinted!) and ended up reading it first!
Which other books would you like me to make into my recycled book jewellery? Let me know in the comments. I’ll be at Sandbach Makers Market this Saturday from 10am-3pm and will have my new creations with me then.
