A very special barrel for a very special milestone!

Our lovely customers celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday, and chose a dark varnished oak finish with a classic Jack Daniel's themed design, personalised with their anniversary date symbolised in glitter silver inkeeping to mark the 25 year occasion. 🥃✨

We love making pieces like this that aren't just for the day itself, but become something to keep afterwards as a little reminder of such a special celebration, I even found a nice little distillery stamp personally selected that I thought would feel special.

🍾 When the buyer matches the barrel… 🤩❤️

Our customer came to collect his custom Dom Pérignon and Moët themed barrels last week, spotted the V***e Clicquot while he was here and decided that one was coming home too! But we think it's fair to say there was always going to be a clear favourite... 😂👌🏼😊🥂

He's now planning to add bespoke marble tabletops to turn them into statement tables — something a little different and a very cool finishing touch! We cannot wait to see and share them with you all for inspiration.

Whether you've got a favourite drink, team, business or something completely personal in mind, we can create a barrel around it — from rustic wood finishes to fully painted designs.

⭐ PRODUCT OF THE WEEK IS BACK! ⭐

It's been a little quiet on the Product of the Week front while we've been busy preparing for the trade show and working our way through your orders — but we're back! 🙌

This week we're putting the spotlight on our bespoke barrel tabletops. 🛢️

Our standard tops are approximately 90cm diameter, but they can be made in different sizes and shapes to suit your space and requirements.

The dark oak tops pictured are stained and varnished to complement our dark oak barrels, but we can create different finishes too — from lighter natural wood through to laminate / coloured finishes.

They can be supplied fixed or removable, with or without brackets, and we can even add a sunken ice/wine bucket into the centre — perfect for drinks tables in pubs, bars and event spaces. 🍾🍻

And, of course, the barrels themselves can be completely personalised with your company branding, logo, colours or design.

Available as individual pieces or in larger quantities for commercial and hospitality spaces, making them ideal for:

🐝⚽ This fully customised Watford FC inspired barrel left us last week, and we absolutely loved seeing this one come together even if we have now banned the colour yellow after approximately 795 coats of the stuff!! 😅💛❤️🖤

Our customer wanted something that really embraced the club colours, so we went all in — a full black and yellow, and yellow, and yellow (!) painted finish with red detailing, the iconic hornet badge taking centre stage and plenty of little details throughout.

That's one of our favourite things about making these — no two need to be the same. Whether you want something relatively simple or a completely bespoke design built around your favourite football club, F1 team, drink, hobby or even your own business, we can create something completely individual.

Made from a genuine oak whiskey barrel and transformed right here at Bank Top Farm. 🛢️

🏁 One for the Formula 1 fans… 🏁

Another brand new design that made its debut with us at Betley Big Weekend — our McLaren F1 inspired whiskey barrel! 🧡🖤

We went bold with this one, with the full barrel finished in their unmistakable official papaya orange, black detailing and McLaren Formula 1 Team graphics.

And we couldn't leave the top plain… 👀
A Pirelli P Zero inspired tyre design finishes it off, complete with racing flags and a colour-shifting centre ring that changes in the light. 🏎️✨

Definitely one for the F1 fans — and certainly not one that blends into the background!

🤍 Our very first wedding...

Last Friday we had the pleasure of delivering our first ever wedding barrel, created especially for a beautiful barn venue.

The bride and groom wanted something rustic to suit the setting and welcome their guests as they arrived, so we kept the natural character of the reclaimed oak and created a personalised design especially for their day.

We absolutely loved seeing it in place!

Barrel tables make a lovely entrance or welcome-drinks station for a wedding, and can be made with an added larger tabletop - still with the option of a sunken ice bucket - to keep bottles chilled and ready for arriving guests. 🥂

Every one can be made to suit the wedding — from natural rustic oak like this one through to fully painted designs, with personalised names, dates, wording and artwork. I'm thinking lots of creams, ivory and gold colours...💭 or of course your colour scheme to suit.

And after lots of interest in this one on the day, we're now looking at introducing a wedding hire option, using removable/interchangeable personalised designs so our barrels can be adapted for each couple and venue.

Of course, for couples choosing to purchase their barrel, there's something rather lovely about getting to take it home afterwards as a permanent reminder of the day. ❤️

It must be Pimm’s o’clock…👀🍹

Inspired by our planter delivery for Wimbledon earlier this summer, we couldn't resist creating our very own Pimm’s barrel — and this colourful one made its debut at Betley’s Big Weekend last weekend. 🎾🍓

Hand-painted from top to bottom on one of our reclaimed oak whisky barrels, with all the little details that make it unmistakably Pimm’s. ❤️

We had so many lovely comments about this one over the weekend, so it was about time it got its own proper introduction!

We thought we'd share a few photos of the stand for those who couldn't make it to Betley's Big Weekend.

It was great finally seeing months of ideas, late nights and hard work all in one place. (The red one was an order I was completing along the way 👀 no days off here....😅)

What started with a few reclaimed oak barrels has quickly grown into planters, furniture, dog beds, side tables, bespoke commissions and plenty more.

What a weekend!

Our very first trade show is officially over, and we're absolutely exhausted... but incredibly grateful.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand. We met so many lovely people, had some fantastic conversations, received some amazing compliments, and came away with lots of exciting ideas for future projects. We even won the Best Outdoor Trade Stand award, presented by the Mayor! 😊🍾

We'll be sharing plenty more photos and highlights over the next few days, including some brand new products making their debut, but for now it's time to unpack and recover! 😴
