⚽🏆 World Cup Fever has officially arrived at The Windowman!

England kick off their World Cup campaign tonight at 9pm against Croatia and, well, it's fair to say we've got into the spirit of things! We thought it might be fun to introduce a few of our own team, who keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes...

🇬🇧 Sarah – Central Midfielder
Based in our Weymouth office, Sarah is often the friendly voice at the end of the phone. Booking appointments, handling updates, answering customer questions, she's always linking everything together and keeping things moving. Every good team needs a midfield engine room, and Sarah is definitely ours.

🇬🇧 Kaz – Left Back
Based in our Crewkerne office and Michelle's right-hand woman, Kaz helps customers, keeps on top of accounts and makes sure the details don't get missed. Like any dependable full-back, she's organised, reliable and always there covering the ground that keeps the whole team performing.

🇬🇧 Michelle – Team “Manager (and Cheerleader to all 🙌)
Michelle somehow manages to juggle being Office Manager, keeping the whole operation running smoothly (and making sure Joe doesn't get too carried away when football season comes around!) She's been part of The Windowman story from day one and is very much the captain of our team.

So tonight, whether you're watching every minute, pretending you're not bothered (but maybe secretly checking the score), We'll be cheering the lads on with the rest of the nation.

Imagine being 14 and having the opportunity to step out onto the pitch at the club you’ve supported since, well, forever! And not just stepping onto the turf for a look around, but stepping onto it as a player.

Hearts thumping and dreams spinning.

That’s exactly what’s happening today for the Misterton Under-14 boys’ team (who The Window Man are proud to sponsor) as they travel to Manchester to play at Old Trafford, the Theatre of Dreams.

For Joe and Michelle, our wonderful founders, this day is extra special as their son will be one of the lads making that trip. So not only will they see the Window Man shirt playing at the Theatre of Dreams, but they’ll also watch their own lad and his teammates fulfil such a dream.

What an adventure.

Enjoy every second of this incredible experience, make plenty of memories, and most importantly, have fun. Days like these stay with you for a lifetime.

And that’s one of the reasons why supporting local clubs and grassroots sport is so important to us. It’s about so much more than football. It’s about helping create opportunities, experiences, and memories that young people will carry with them for years to come.

🌸 What a month May has been here at The Windowman!
🌊From Weymouth to Wellington, Crewkerne to Crediton, Bridport to Bridgwater, our teams have been clocking up the miles and transforming homes across Dorset, Somerset and East Devon.
And as always, no two weeks have looked quite the same.

We’ve installed everything from hup! extensions and full-house double glazing projects, to sliding patio doors ready for summer garden parties, beautiful composite front doors, replacement conservatory roofs, heritage-style windows, and those all-important repair and single-unit replacement jobs that keep homes warm, secure and looking their best.

That’s one of the things we love most about what we do, one day we’re creating a stunning new living space with a hup! extension. The next we’re carefully matching a single replacement unit or restoring the character of a property with heritage windows. Whether it’s a new roof, a stylish front door, a warm conservatory, or a full home transformation, every job matters to us.

A huge thank you to all our customers who have trusted us with their homes this month, and to our hardworking office, surveying and fitting teams who make it all happen behind the scenes.

As the Premier League season draws to a close, with all the drama, pressure and big-money moments that top-flight football brings… we’re reminded that some of the most important football in the country happens much closer to home. ⚽❤️

At The WindowMan, one of the greatest privileges of being a local business is being able to support local teams, clubs and organisations that sit right at the heart of the community.
Turn up on a Sunday morning and you’ll find far more than just a football match. You’ll see mums and dads on the sidelines, brothers and sisters having a kickabout nearby, aunties and grandparents wrapped up with a flask in hand… all cheering the kids on (often both teams, and that kind of sportsmanship …we salute it! 👏).

This season also marks a proud moment for Dean, with The WindowMan sponsoring Weymouth Under 8s, the very team his little boy has played for in his first season of football. Something tells us those Sunday mornings will be remembered for a very long time.
