We’re walking the Camino!
The Camino Frances to be precise. All 500 miles of it, from St Jean Pied de Port in the French Pyrenees all the way to Santiago de Compostela in north-west Spain.
Six weeks. Backpacks. Blisters. And if we’re lucky, a fair amount of very good wine 🍷
We only have the first two nights of accommodation booked. After that, we are taking it one day at a time….
I’m stripping my phone right back too. Deleting everything I don’t need, taking a journal and a book, and stepping well away from social media for the duration. If you want to follow our progress, and I really hope you do, Steve will be documenting the whole adventure on his page and I’m sure it will be well worth following.
I am honestly so looking forward to the pared-back purity of it all. Creating space and lightness, literally, because everything we need for six weeks fits into a backpack weighing around seven kilograms! When you actually sit down and think about what you truly need in life, it’s quite a revelation.
Before I go, I want to say a genuine and heartfelt THANK YOU.
This year, the showroom has gone from strength to strength, and I have been so happy watching it develop into something I’m really proud of.
That wouldn’t have happened without your support, your visits, your messages, and your enthusiasm for what I’m trying to build here in Argyll.
It means more than I can say 💖
You had better believe that I’m already excited about what comes next when I get back too!
There will be plenty of upholstery work to catch up on and lots of new finds to share, so the sign will be out regularly from mid-June onwards.
My first official open weekends back are:
Thursday 25th June to Sunday 29th June
Thursday 9th July to Sunday 13th July
Thursday 23rd July to Sunday 27th July
I’ll be refreshed, rested, and full of stories. I hope you’ll come and find me.
So, please wish us both luck, and we’ll see you on the other side!
