I painted this memory box for my sister and her other half who finally got married last weekend (third try because of covid). 💕

I used sage chalk paint for the overall colour and gold, silver and white acrylic for the design. Clear wax finished the top and sides, and I used gold wax for the bottom and inside. I love how the gold wax has really brought out the grain of the wood inside!

I made this as part of a wedding gift for a couple of my friends. I’ve been wanting to try out wall hangings for a while and I wanted to give them something a little different!

I bought a couple of circular frames and three balls of yarn that were different textures, thicknesses and colours. As you’ve probably worked out by now, I LOVE colour and I wanted to create a dream catcher style wall hanging that’s bright and positive to represent my friends and the journey they are embarking on.

I’m thrilled with the end result and will definitely be making more wall hangings to add to the shop.

Latest commission was something a bit different. I was asked to repaint a couple of dragon statuettes who stuck out like sore thumbs amongst their silver dragon companions! Now they should fit in perfectly!

Painted using a neutral grey base and stippled silver over the top to create depth. They have been finished with a varnish and are now ready to go home.

This commission was a lovely ornate wooden box with a stand. They needed completely stripping back and starting from scratch. A folk art design painted on them which was old and faded; the original black was sun-bleached, tarnished and chipped. I used bold colours to give this box a new lease of life. Base is a satin black Rustoleum paint - the customer’s home contains lots of bold blacks - then I drew my own version of the original design freehand using acrylic paint pens. The box and stand were sealed using a polyurethane spray. Love how vibrant this piece of furniture now is!

The latest addition to the collection! Loved working on this writing desk! A little bit of prep work was needed before I could start painting, including sanding and reattaching a peg and a leg. The overall colour is Fire Brick by Rustoleum which was sanded back to create a distressed look. The leaves were then freehand painted on using colours from the opposite end of the spectrum to make them really stand out. The desk has been finished off with a wax.
