🪺 This week was all about the seagull, and with quite a few sewing lessons too (more to come on that later)!

💕 I’m in love with the newbies this week - pink, stripes and seagulls - what isn’t there to love? So much so that one of them has already been adopted!

🐚 Two of the other stripy gulls are about to fly down to Mawgan Porth to be adopted by Art at the beach, custom orders are always welcome!

🖼️ After the seagull artworks sold out, it was time for a refresh! I love these artworks, and how each turns out so unique in the process!

♻️ All made from upcycled and rescued fabrics - a mix here of curtains, old jeans, rescued fabric from Vinted and deadstock from 𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙗𝙤𝙬 𝙁𝙖𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙨 - all giving textiles new life and keeping them away from landfill!

🧵 Do you have an ever growing stash of fabric at home? Looking for new inspiration for your next sewing or quilting project? Then, I may have the solution 😂

♻️ I’m so excited to be running my first fabric swap this July , and supporting fantastic local charities in the process and .ekm. Anyone who’s attended a lesson, or had a chat will know how much I’ve wanted to do this for quite a while 🙏

How does it work?
♻️ Bring up to 5 fabric pieces ( at least 1m minimum, and ideally labelled)
♻️ Make a minimum £2 donation to support our local charities
♻️ Swap for something new-to-you, saving textiles from landfill
♻️ Any leftover textiles will be donated to lock schools, and the fantastic .ekm

Always wanted to learn to sew? Have a machine, but no idea where to start? Confident with the basics, but want to start to make and mend your own clothes?

My sewing lessons are the perfect way to build confidence, learn new skills and make beautiful items all at the same time. Whether you’re a complete beginner, or wanting to work on your own projects there are options for everyone in my workshops, or private lessons are available too.

🧵Private lessons for children 12+ available from July onwards, and for adults anytime! Private groups also valuable by request - perfect for hen dos, birthdays, or just a chance to get together with friends

When your favourite things come together!

This week was all about the tote bags! I found some seagull curtains which were perfect, along with this gorgeous blue…and very happy with the result 💕

👖 My favourite part is still the pockets made from Jean pockets! I can’t explain how happy these make me 🤣

♻️ All made with upcycled and rescued fabrics, and with each bag being unique!

💫 I can’t quite believe it’s a year since I first set up at Deal Saturday market!

⏩ Fast forward a year and the set up has changed quite a bit, along with the range, and I’m blessed with sunshine!

🪺 The seagulls hadn’t even been imagined yet, but a year on over 150 have now flown the nest!

♻️ It’s been so much fun creating upcycled goodies from the seagulls (and their ever expanding range), wine coolers from wetsuits, doggie bow ties, tote bags, summer hats, patchwork pouffes and so much more!

A massive thank you to everyone who’s supported me since that very first market…and my lovely market neighbours! I can’t wait to see what the next year brings 💕

It’s been a productive week of lessons, and of course making…made even better with the arrival of sunshine ☀️

🐶 It’s not all about seagulls this week with a few new sausage dog doorstops…

🎀…and expanding the doggie bow tie range! These gorgeous upcycled creations slip onto the collar, and help ensure your pooch is dressed for all occasions 🤣

🪺 a few new gulls have joined the flock this week too, keeping up with the popularity of the stripey range!

✈️ ..and XL seagulls are now available with zips for longer journeys, with a couple already planned for Oz!
