So stage 1 initial full fuse in the kiln completed . Christmas trees washed and now in the kiln again for their second firing and being slumped into a curve and a wave. Really happy with the Halloween ghost as well. If anyone fancies making their own tree wave I will be adding these to our workshops shortly.

The end ones with clear glass and trees is as “Blue Peter used to say” “One I made earlier! Slowly building up our stock for our next two craft fairs approaching soon.
We will be at Ripleys Garden Centre in Staple 28th/29th November and at The Landmark Centre in Deal the week after on Saturday 5th December. If you can’t manage to get there and happen see anything you fancy on here before hand please feel free to PM us.

So one of the Halloween pieces has gone in the kiln this evening along with some client work (the butterfly square and the sheep) along with two more sets of Christmas trees which will become free standing curves. Fillers are small ovals for a surprise picture (watch this space) and the tiny squares will become circular cabochons. It's what called making the most of every little bit of space on each kiln firing.

I'll post some images of the finished fused items tomorrow so please do come back and check them out!

I have been asked many times what VitrumOria means and it is simple as this

• Vitrum: The Latin word for "glass"

• Oria: Derived from oria or aurea, relating to "gold", or an adornment

Together, the name poetically signifies "glass adornments" or "the art of glass jewellry", which directly matches our business model of crafting unique, custom coloured glass necklaces and earrings to complement specific outfits. We also make matching pieces for your furniture too.
