I love this time of year. The early morning autumnal sun has been breathtaking hasn’t it. This morning the fields were covered in mist. A beautiful start to the day ✨

Inspired to create the atmosphere and ‘glow’ of the morning light in watercolour. Here’s a new painting from my sketchbook. So fresh, that the paint was still wet when I took these pics.

It’s been lovely going back through my camera roll to find my favourite hand painted home decor pieces from the years. So many great memories 🥰

The big life event in our second year of business really brought home the importance of celebrating the good stuff.

This upcycle had a total change of direction half way through 🔄

A pristine paint finish really didn’t suit the tall and solid proportions of this single drawer console table.

Instead a worn, chippy look brought out the well loved feel of the reclaimed old pine. It has a perfectly imperfect comforting feel to it.

Now full of rustic charm, it has a softness that you can’t help touching and a solidity that helps ground a room.

It has strong lines and good proportions. A right good solid piece of furniture. Did you see the floral touch I added in the drawer?

Overall it measures around: H 91 cm x W 66.5 cm x D 33 cm

Perfect to add a cosy feel to a hallway, living room or dining space.

Creating texture, character and charm on a heavy solid pine console table.

Once covered with orange varnish, it’s now transformed with hand painted texture and soft colours, all sanded until gorgeously soft to the touch.

I’ve added imperfection on purpose to this upcycled piece of furniture and it’s within these imperfections that its beauty lies. It has countryside charm that makes a home feel so cosy.

After all, being perfect is just dull… 😉
