A lovely evening with the Doveridge WI, where I had the pleasure of giving a floral demonstration.

The entire demonstration focused on sustainable floristry and the practical steps we, as florists, can take to reduce our environmental impact and work more responsibly.

The beautiful flowers were supplied by the wonderful Chrissy at Heath Flower Farm, a fantastic local grower based near Doveridge. It was a pleasure to showcase such fresh, locally grown blooms and highlight the importance of supporting local flower farms.

Filled with beautiful blooms, from a flower-filled church to the beautifully decorated Dovecliff Hall, every detail was designed to create a truly stunning setting.

An array of the most beautiful flowers, from elegant orchids to delicate lily of the valley, brought a timeless and romantic feel to the day.

A wedding bouquet inspired by the bride's mother’s and grandmother’s bouquets, reimagined with a modern twist ❤️

Despite the bride living in another country, we collaborated through video consultations to design her dream wedding flowers. Bringing together family tradition, personal style, and fresh contemporary details made this bouquet especially meaningful.

The voice of calm and reassurance, blessed with height for the tall arrangements, endless talent, and an incredible ability to just get it. How beautiful are these orchids? 😍😍😍

I wanted to share one of the realities of floristry and wedding flower costings...

Six weeks before this wedding, I asked my wholesaler for a price on these orchids and was quoted a price per stem.

I budgeted the wedding accordingly, but when the invoice arrived the week of the wedding, the price had more than doubled per stem. As you can imagine, that took a huge chunk out of the profit margin.

So when you ask for a quote and think florists are charging a lot, please remember that flower prices can fluctuate dramatically, often with very little notice.

Despite the challenges, this wedding is going to be absolutely amazing, and I’m so grateful to be part of it and help create my couple’s dream flowers ❤️
