I'm always banging on about 'sustainable funeral flowers' but I've come to the conclusion that for some people this phrase is meaningless. Here's a short summary of what I think makes a flower sustainable and how this relates to funeral flowers. Would be interested to know if you agree with me.

I don't have a large area for growing flowers and most of what I grow is used for creating planet-friendly funeral flowers. However, in the warmer months I do have surplus flowers that I can sell. The best thing about this photo? The image was taken in front of the very bed of anemones that I cut flowers from. These cans are cut to order and are only available for collection, so just DM if you'd like one. How's that for a low carbon-footprint?

Definitely the right time of year to reshare my all-time favourite reel. I periodically do the as set by Georgie Newbery of and clearly had too much time on my hands when I created this little reel. Have you found a creative way to use small Spring flowers?

It may seem that it would be difficult to provide funeral flowers all year round but even in Winter there is plenty of foliage to use in the garden and seasonal British flowers are always available from wholesalers.

There is so much contentment to be had from providing funeral flowers, especially when you get to hear about the person the flowers are for and then receive wonderful comments about how well the flowers were received.

I get really frustrated when I hear comments that all you can choose is a raffia-tied sheaf if you want environmentally conscious funeral flowers. There are a wide range of options available. We just need funeral directors to get on board. Everyone deserves a choice.

Love the challenge of finding new ways to create an ever-growing portfolio of environmentally responsible funeral flowers. If we want more florist to ditch the foam they need to be quick and cost effective to do. What do you think of this one?
